Missing My Kitty

Dear Dr. Bill:
I live in an apartment complex and I was disappointed that I could not keep my beloved Snuggles, my cream-colored Persian kitten, with me. The landlord just said, "no pets allowed."

Then yesterday when I was coming home from work, in the front window of my neighbor's apartment was a calico cat staring at me. Do I confront the landlord or the neighbor?

In Snuggles honor, I cannot let sleeping cats lie.

Missing My Kitty in Vermont

Dear Missing My Kitty:
The first thing you need to do is get a grip.

You don't know the details of the situation, so the second thing you need to do is go to the source. Phone your landlord and ask him why some of the tenants are getting special favors.

If he isn't aware of the situation, your call will clue him in. And if he does know what's going on, he might have a great explanation.

But, before you do anything, make sure you're prepared to have your neighbor possibly very, very angry at you. Be prepared for payback time.

Furballs could fly.

Sincerely,
Dr. Bill
