I'm wondering what to do in this situation. About 10 years ago I met this aqua guy through a friend. We had an instant connection and I crushed on him hard. Nothing ever came of it since we rarely saw eachother, but over the years I've kept up with him through MySpace/Facebook, just looking every once in a blue moon to see what he's been up to. It seem everytime I looked at his page he had a new girlfriend. Although he did date one of them for a good 3 years, they've all pretty much lasted less than a year or so. I saw him recently and that same electricity was still there. I don't know what it is about him but his personality just makes me melt! He's so witty and wicked, and has the same interests as me. I've dated others before but my limited time with him elicited far deeper feelings than I ever felt for men I've dated for years! A few months ago I texted him asking if he wanted to work on something creative together since we are in the same field , but he never responded. My ego was hurt, I'll admit, and I just assumed he was a playboy and I must have imagined our connection and he just wasn't interested. Well Sunday he messages me on Facebook in kind of a pissed off tone, saying "so much for working together this summer, I was really looking forward to it, let me know if you have any projects coming up" Woah, not expecting that at ALL! I asked him what he was talking about, since he had ignored all my texts. He explains that his 4G phone sucks and doesn't recieve texts sometimes and his Internet doesn't work (sure, I'll pretend to believe that) So I tell him I decided not to do that since I'm moving across the country in 2 months (where he's ironically moving to a year later) but I said "but if you wanna hang out with me before I go get famous, thats cool" to which he responded "haha well I mean we can hang out, I'd rather take you out or something before you leave" Does that mean a date?? I'm going to an award show on Saturday and I'll be all dressed up and glamorous for the red carpet, so I invited him to come to an after party and he said yes. Sorry, long back story. Anyways, he admitted that he had a crush on me 10 years ago, but he has never once made a move. Then again, we haven't really been in the same circles since then, but I really do feel this deep connection with him. He brings out this flirty, confident side to me that I rarely ever have without a drink in my system.. It's like he intoxicates me. But part |
