It's very different! As soon as I get comfy he shakes it up. I'm learning as I go and trying not to pull my hair out. Is the backing away a defense mech to keep feelings at bay?

It's just...life. We get drained, we pursue some interest, we have stuff on our table and sometimes it's just good to be by yourself in your own universe. Not a slight against a partner for them to not include us in it.

An Aqua Venus isn't going to flat out lie to you. They know they can get what they want without that. Just the fact that he's telling you these things and (for the most part) following through, means that he means it.
But it's still early in the relationship. Don't expect great expressions of love; it's a steady, consistent thing that gets more solid over time. Telling you that you're their best friend (if you're the opposite sex) is the highest compliment for these guys. It means you're "in".
There will always be a little bit of aloofness or distance there. It can take a looong time before you feel that sense of closeness, so you have to be patient and roll with their pace of things.

I find this such a hard placement 😢 ice cold sometimes.
It teaches some of us who have hotter blood to step back and be more realistic or universal about love. It also brings a kind of naiveté to relationships that is actually refreshing and fun. Hard to describe but I've always felt like my guy's Aqua venus has a kind of emotional maturity that my Libra Venus appreciates.

He and I have a lot of opposites too. Not fun sometimes, but we have both grown so much. Just know you're teaching him as much as he's teaching you. And the bond gets stronger as you go--if you can handle the getting through it. 🙂

I have a Cap friend who is mysterious as hell. He has aqua venus too. Totally hear from this person random times with weeks in between and all i can think is...
You still consider us friends? And for him it's as if we pick up right where we left off. So I guess distance is what they do lol.

Me being a ViS I can't fully be comfortable and trust him, since I never know when he's gonna dissappear..
Oh well...
The other male aqua venus is my little baby but he's too young for me to tell you what's he like lol but he is shy at first and takes a long time to warm up to people and other kids but once he does he can be himself. I mean he's still a kid and all but he loves me and he is 100% himself around me but the average person he gives them 75% the most and that's if he likes you.

I have learned not to push.....or expect anything....just go with the flow....and BOOM....there it is.
it is so sweet and genuine when it happens like that.
In the very very beginning....the weirdness and silence concerned me.....and confused me alot. It's actually how I landed on dxp.
I realized it's just his style .....and when you step back and look at the big picture...it's quite precious.
They are not always perfect .....there are some traits that drive me batty....lol....but I've gotten a rhythm going with the emotional stuff that seems to work now.

Lol @ giggles. My (sun&venus) aqua does that too.
As we have a conversation on the phone he throws something sweet in there quickly and im like, "did u just say this or that? " He laughs. I say "i got you" Then he comes out and says what he said even louder and laughs some more 😄

Anyway on to it. I've currently been seeing a Aqua Venus man for 6 moths. I was wondering if anyone could give me signs or things to look out for when he's falling in love. He has already said I love you about two months back. However everytime I mention a relationship he shuts down kind of. He has these days where he gets sweet and says I'm everything he wants in a woman, he cherish the friendship and loves me and all that I offer him. However he won't make it official. However I can't help but think everytime he feels himself letting go and getting to close he backs off. He doesn't stop communicating but he won't come around and he can get very cold with his words nothing evil just like he's trying to hurt my feelings
there are some vids on youtube you can also listen to, but they're more "generalized" for both genders, it'd be better if there was one for just how the man thinks.

I'm an aqua venus. I don't do big expressions of love. I'm aloof. Aquas can intellectualize their emotions pretty well, just more difficult to express and deeply feel them. I want to be close, but sometimes I want space- especially if all the gushy feelings are overwhelming. I picked a fight with my man last night (I didn't realize it at the time) and I was feeling so overwhelmed with mushy feelings. Picking the fight had me putting him at arms length. When I realized what was going on, I said sorry.
He sometimes says things he knows will push my buttons. Reading what you said I wonder if that's his way of saying leave me alone today. I've called him out on everytime he gets too close or things get too good he finds excuses not to see me. He will still text and call everyday just won't see me as much

If you say fwb I will never question it. If you say I am your girlfriend I will never question it. Both situations I have been told where I stand.
