Posted by LunarLady720 Well now that you say that, I suppose the change came when she moved out of her parents house and moved in with her boyfriend, who is now her husband. She and her mom were very close, but it still seems like they are now. I know some Libras have a hard time making decisions, but it seems to me that she just completely avoids making any decisions about anything. Her husband is an Aries, so they have an interesting relationship and don't really have much in common. I am flattered that she values my opinion, but I want her to become her own person and figure out what SHE likes and not what I TELL her to like. You know? She also has jealousy issues about me having other friends, that's another reason why we have drifted apart. In a social environment when she and her husband are there while other friends are there, she sulks in the corner and doesn't contribute much...if she does, she tries to show off by talking about her possessions. Sadly, it sounds like she is miserable in her life. Her big personality change happened when she moved in with her boyfriend/husband who she has nothing in common with. If Libras don't get what they need in a relationship we tend to get depressed. If the relationship gets bad we can get worse. I completely understand what you are saying with wanting her to develop her own personality. Libras do have a tendency to imitate those close to us but that isn't what she is doing. She seems to be latching onto you (you said you have been "best friends" for a long time, it makes since she would choose you). The jealousy of you having other friends isn't normal either. "Sulking" is a common Libra tendency when we are unfulfilled in our relationship and/or heading into depression. Showing off isn't common for us either. We like our stuff and like others to know we have it but we aren't usually flashy or overbearing with it. Sorry to say it but my first reaction would be to get this girl to a relationship (or individual) counselor. She needs someone to talk and vent to who will help her sort it out. |

What changed in her? All the things that she is asking you to do with her now... did she used to do them alone or with someone else? If she used to be more independent and is now latching onto someone, it sounds like she got hurt. How long has she been acting this way? Asking someone for advice SOMETIMES can be flattering to them. It shows that you value their opinion. Doing it all the time is annoying. People need to develop their own likes and dislikes. I like that friends come to me for advice if they need it, but if they wanted me to hold their hand to get on an elevator I'd get frustrated too. |

I've been friends with a Libran for about 10 years and as the years have gone on we have grown apart. When she was younger she seemed to be much less clingy, but all that has changed now. She constantly asks for my opinion on every little thing, needs me to go shopping with her because she doesn't know what to buy, wants me to go get a haircut with her, wants me to help her decorate her house. It's gotten more and more irritating and now I've gotten to the point where I avoid her all together. I realize that should be flattering, but it's REALLY not. The main reason we are still friends is because of our husbands. Is this representative of a typical Cancer/Libra friendship? Is there any way to fix this, or is it just too late? I know it's funny to hear a Cancer talk crap about someone being clingy, but I have an Aries moon and am quite annoyed when people can't take a hint. What's the worst is that when I do pick something out for her she says it's just too wild for her. Why do you ask for my advice and then shy away from it? WTH! |
