I do the same Leila and I walk around a lot and poke my nose in stuff if it's someone's private home. I mean, I don't go into closed rooms (I've grown out of that) but I'm looking at stuff a lot to get a social break without appearing to do so. Unfortunately, people don't always take a hint. I go to use the bathroom right away.

When I was a kid I'd lock myself in people's bathrooms. My parents once found out that I'd locked myself in someone's camper toilet for two hours. Hey, campgrounds can be crowded and I imagine I was just coping the only way I could think of. My parents had a van where we slept in the back so we didn't have a toilet I could lock myself in.

I hang out a lot in kitchens, I don't mind intimate talk with 1-2, or I read magazines, ads, whatever is lying around. If it's lying on the coffee table, surely they don't mind? When I was a kid (again) I'd manage to read whole novels over an evening. No protests from the adults.

the toilet??hahaha...smart kid ! U know what makes me nervous? When someone comes up in my face disturbing my lil 'social break'...arrrggghhh wana scream.lol

I can't sit on a beach or just lie around (not that I'd choose to go to the beach) I have to keep myself walking along the water edge. I was a nightmare as a kid to my Libra mom who loves to lazy on a beach and of course my Pisces dad loves the beach too but thankfully he's not into just lying around either.

My mother only took hub, my boys and I to a beach once. We walked for over an hour, stopped, had ice cream. Hub, boys and I were ready to go back to mom's house. Mom wanted to stop and go in the water, because to her that was the whole point in going to the beach. I refused and so did hub (a Leo who isn't into litterally basking in the sun) and the boys only just got in, then asked grandma if they could go back to her house and in the inflatable garden pool. My mom asked if we never take the boys to the beach?! No, we never take the boys to the beach, we like to hike around the woods on a warm day, or walk around inside a cool museum, makes much more sense to us.

I don't know how much things have changed since the late 70s but I've never left my boys in the ball playing room in IKEA because in my very own personal experience, it's very easy to walk off without the adults noticing.

Not a Cap but Damn.. I totally do that too.. To the point that all my friends say I'm "socially a.d.d.".. If I'm with the same group for to long I poof on their ass.. Away's come back at some point to 'check in'.. haha



I do the *poof* and check-in too but mostly if I'm out socially with people. I've always disappeared from my crowd in malls, dept. stores, museums and similar.

I do it too, actually at like the 30 minute mark. Really, I can't stand not being on my own time. I think for me, that's what it boils down to.

If I feel to guilty about leaving the group I'll excuse myself sometimes to do completely legitimate things, like bathroom. Then take the Billy from Family Circus way back.. hahaha...




The checkin in part* rings a bell...
But for some reason it makes me nervous when I have to check in with the group...because I know they'll be like 'watsup with her??'

When I wake up in the morning, I have chubby chipmunk cheeks. So as per a suggestion by a Japanese beauty magazine, I do a "lymph drainage" massage which entails gently tapping all over my face with my fingertips.

Well, recently I slept over my Scorp's place, and did it when I thought he was gone to the store.. As I'm frenetically tap away, I hear him ask "What are you doing?? lol"

I jumped and slammed the bathroom door in panic...and then continued tapping the chipmunks away.

What are some of your cute habits that you just cannot tend to let go of...?

When I'm with a bunch of people, and I've been with them for longer than an hour or so, I tend to always go off on my own for a bit...
It's like I just can't help separating from the group... I actually have no idea why I do this...but I just do. It actually feels like I'll suffocate if I don't :-/
