| i am naturally against federal education. perhaps in a different time period where the government is the opposite of what is is now, but until then i can place no trust in it. some would argue by the state, but that has proved its difficulties in the past(so ive heard). what are some opinions? i think if we can rely on neither state nor federal, then we can place them under control of social institutions. |

Posted by westside No idea what you're trying to say here. Do you mean social institutions like social workers? Anywho, I think government run education would be a mess as the government runs now. It doesn't need to be "the exact opposite" but the bureaucracy and standardized testing BS would ruin the experience for everyone involved. Government funded, and with all profits going back to the government, but the schools themselves run by well paid teachers? That could work, in a better world than we live in now. We're the ones who have to make the world better so that this can happen. |
