It's a giant wolf lol. I was watching a special on the Discovery Channel and they were discussing it among other creatures such as Bigfoot and the Lochness Monster.
i find stories like this quite interesting and have read a few myself; Bigfoot, Lochness to name a few. i'm just waiting for the day some real hardcore evidence can be found on any of these elusive creatures..
The Beast of Gevaudan reminds me ALOT of a french film i saw awhile ago, called Brotherhood of the Wolf, actually based on the film; some creative liberties were taken. It really liked it, it's pretty entertaining if you haven't yet seen it.
210 attacks and 113 deaths reported IS astounding! Likely some kind of wolf hybrid mix (perhaps a living-fossilized genetic throwback from an early era.) Whatever it was, they seemed highly intelligent, independent, opportunistic predators, who loved human flesh.
I have been to Loch Ness (several times) and have yet to see any evidence of "nessie" as we call him. Much is made of it up there though, you can take a boat trip out across the loch (which I've done) and they have these small stickers on the windows so that when you look out it's like you're seeing nessie bobbing on the water in the distance lol.
It's been was quite some time since i last saw it myself, lol ..I know the plot is very rich and intertwined.. Definately, i think i would need to see it again, since i can't really recall the very ending..lol =)
Didn't they conclude that a game keeper had trained his large dog to do the murders? The locality of each one was circular around the game keeper's house and some of the victims were family members of the local land owner. The local land owner was trying to remove the game keeper after most of the wolves were driven from the land. Redundant use until the beast appeared.
