I can't speak for all Leo men, so Leos, help me out here. Post your chart too so people can know how a Leo with air/water/fire really thinks.
SweetLibra had some questions which was the impetus for this thread.
QUOTE: "What is it that a Leo really wants from his woman?
I wanted to sum it up simply and after discussing this with a good Leo friend of mine, he said the magic word, partner.
When we want a relationship, we test to see if the woman we are interested in could be a partner for life. Now, a young or immature Leo will only be interested in sexual conquests and accumulating as many women as possible (male lion with a bevy of lionesses kind of thing). You need to evaluate where he is at before wasting too much time with him.
Ultimately, we want love but can be scared of putting so much faith into one person.
That's where the testing comes in. It's not always conscious either but we want to know if you are:
4. Passionate (sexually/emotionally can you match us?)
5. Be our best friend (our soft place to fall)
To be continued.....
QUOTE:"Give us all the inside scoop and all the little known tricks (for lack of a better word) we can put in our arsenals. I'm not into playing games in a relationship, but dating does require a little. Like when a Leo man is first showing interest, how should we respond in order to keep him on his toes and interested in the long haul?
Be smart, sweet & sincere. Smart meaning don't let go of your morals/values to 'get' him, hang on to your identity & opinions but do it sweetly. No ball busters, just firm. I respond to a woman with lots of energy & passion. A woman who isn't afraid to be herself and is interesting. Maybe she can teach me/show me something. A passion for life is a huge turn-on for me.
QUOTE: Would he respond better to a woman who never picked up the phone to call him? Do Leo men like to do all the chasing? Or is it simply a question of timing with Leo men?
If my feelings are sincere, I don't hold back. The romantic in me thinks she'll feel the same so if she doesn't show how she feels, I might just move on rather than get hurt.
Some chasing is fine especially in the beginning. It just can't last too long to where I feel like I'm butting my head against the wall. Timing is where he is in life, as in; just broke up/player mode/looking for something real, so yeah, it depends on that.
QUOTE: "Could it be that until he has tired of all the chasing and carousing that he will not settle down and focus on one woman no matter how fly she is when he encounters her? If he still wants to roam, he may stop to play, but once she caves he's gone?"
Yes, that pretty much sums it up for a lot of men.
QUOTE: "@JONLEO, you mentioned in another thread I was on that you have dated Libra women in the past before you finally settled down with an Aries I believe.
Yeah, we just got engaged a couple of days ago on her birthday .
QUOTE: "You said you liked them, but it didn't work out. What was it that kept you from settling down with the Libra's? Could it be our over-analyzing the relationship comes across as insecurity? Was there anything in particular you noticed about Libra's that told you it wouldn't work long term? And please don't hold back. We can take it.
One I lived with for a few years was not a good partner. She became very dependent on me & lazy. Things got progressively worse to where she never got up before noon, only cared about her nails/hair, drank too much and didn't work. I bought a business with the understanding she'd go in to manage, be my eyes/ears but she never did. I'm sure this is an individual thing, not a Libran trait, just like the bad Leo stories here. Everyone can't be a great representative of their sign.
A few other Libras I've dated, things were great initially but the excitement/passion didn't last long enough to think I could be faithful forever. I don't want to make promises I can't keep or lead anyone on. After 6 mos. or so, things seemed to fade. I don't know why exactly. It's not their fault so I can't recommend changing. People should be loved for who they are. You can't fake who you are for very long and Leos are good at seeing through it.
Indeed as you said, we want love but can be scared of putting so much faith into one person. That is because once we decide to love we really give it ALL. Frankly, it's hard to find someone to put all that love and affection on because our standards are too damn high! Loyalty pretty much sums it all up. It's very important to us. Treason will result in immediate expulsion from the Kingdom.

This rings true for Leo women too.... at least for me.
And JonLeo.... my Leo man has Mars in Scorpio too... but Moon in Scorpio.
Your OP is spot on imo!!!
Yes loyalty is high on the list. A leo man wants to know that his woman is down for him to the millionth power, no matter what. In return his woman will get taken care of without a shadow of a doubt.
