rockyroadicecream, I wonder that because I know quite a few rich parents who are really busy trying to maintain that high income tend to do that to their children to make up for not spending as much time as they could have with them or like if they had trouble expressing their love for them in a certain way, they might just buy them something

Your situation isn't that unfamiliar. Sounds like a case of tipping scales due to immaturity and in turn, you're along for the ride on that emotional roller coaster. The immature ones can never really figure out what they want and don't really notice how it affects others. The decision making process is too scary for them.


Yeah, idk though...I almost wonder if maybe that's something he was taught from his parents. Like maybe they would kind of "buy" his affection and caring to an extent. So he learned that from them and applied it to me and his romantic relations.

The futre talk honestly just made me feel like "Woah! I have too much living to be doing before getting all serious going to the Middle East with you." idk it was just rushed and it made me feel a bit smothered. Idk if he would have followed up with action because I ended things before he got the chance to.

lacked in by surprising me with a beautiful dress I had been saving up for or a plane ticket with him to NY. Idk something about that just irritated me. He even said so himself that "He knows he's going back to Kuwait and he's not planning to fall in love in America" When we were dating, he mentioned me going back there to visit with him and that just freaked me the hell out because that's serious talk and I'm too young to be planning trips to Kuwait for a guy! He would say one thing ( "I don't want to get too serious." ) then do another that contradicted him, like randomly suggesting some cute road trip or making little "Come to Kuwait" comments; it was CONFUSING! That piled on top of this dominant, bossy side of him piled on top of the fact that a romantic future with him would be so complex...I just felt like our experience needed to come to an end. I felt that we had learned and taken all we were meant to learn and take from our presence in each other's lives. We had a lot of good times and he's an awesome guy, but just not the guy for me for reasons way bigger than 'the disappearing act bs'.

We go out dancing or out to lunch every now and then, but mainly I plan on keeping my distance from him.

Since inquiring minds want to know...(Libras who appear to be borderline obsessive over my story), I thought the Libra had disappeared on me for good, when really that was just my self doubt getting the best of me. He ended up coming back into my life and I learned that he had disappeared because not only had he lost his uncle and his best friend, but he was dealing with the pressures of taking Junior and advanced Sophomore courses as a Sophomore in college, PLUS the pressure of keeping his athletic scholarship. It had nothing to do with me; I had just internalized it all. I ended up getting back together with a guy from my past for just about a little over a month when Dimps started talking to me again. His drama was overwhelming, so stressful, and just became annoying to be around so he had to go. After we broke up, Dimps and I started talking again.

We brought so many good experiences into each other's lives We spent all summer having an intense, exciting, romantic adventure together! He got me interested in break dancing (he's a break dancer) and taught me some stuff. I made it my mission to take him on an adventure while he's in America! We took a road trip to The Myrtles Plantation in Louisiana! This haunted plantation that I've always wanted to go to and I went there with him. Which is why I have the biggest smirk on my face when these Libras try to tell me that I'm some bitter "wreckage" because a Libra left me lmao! We were pretty much in a relationship without the title. The only problem is that he's studying abroad and going back to Kuwait. He has to go back to the Middle East and take over his parent's business. They own a number of businesses and because he's the oldest, he's expected to take over. He built his college courses all around business and management. Not only that, but he's Muslim and dominant because of the Arabic culture he was raised in. He was starting to show some behavior that got on my nerves, like trying to tell me what I shouldn't wear or acting funny if I was talking to a guy a lot. I also feel like at times, he may have tried to "buy" me. The gifts were sweet, but after a while, it was almost like he was making up for his struggle of developing a completely deep bond with buying me things and in all honesty, that agitated me. I felt like he was making up for areas he
