Pretty much this. Once the relationship has ended at the emotional level, assorted things like paperwork are irrelevant. A relationship only has meaning and value if I carry it in my heart.

In all honesty, I don't know. Everyone is different. Personally, I couldn't find myself cheating on my S.O. I'd feel too bad/guilty to even go there. If I even thought about it for a second, I'd start re-evaluating the current relationship and find out why I'm having drifting thoughts like that.

As for the ones who do, maybe they're just selfish douchebags...?

Yeah breaking point prob is the right term. More or less, there has to be a turning point when the mind switches from wanting to remain faithful to then just not caring or the marriage is felt doomed/bad.

I'm just rather surprised is all, and if you're in or out then cheating is one foot out the door imho

That's why I'm surprised because I know my Aries friends are all flirty, but these two went further and both based out of something missing or making them that unhappy enough to cheat. And in my one friend's case, enough to want to divorce to be with the lover. Not sure about the guy, what his plan is/was.

there's probably not a single breaking point scenario out there that can serve as a good enough excuse for sleeping around behind your spouse's back. personally i don't like unfinished business that drags on and on (a half hearted relationship for example) so yeah i don't think there's such a thing as a breaking point. they're all just excuses at the end of the day, right? i'm either fully in or out. no gray areas.

Hey guys and gals!

What would make a married Aries cheat?

I know two that have cheated on their spouses, one Aries gal and the other an Aries guy... that last I spoke with her, she was ready to leave her husband for her lover; The Aries guy didnt really elaborate why he slept with someone else, only to say there's way more behind why and he wasn't ready to talk about it except to say them/their marriage is not what everyone thinks it is and not this fairytale everyone thinks it/they are. The person he cheated with wasnt planned, although he said he had always attracted to her. Both have kids (one child each.

I know Aries can be flirty, but I always found them to be faithful in love. What is the breaking point to actually sleep with someone behind a spouses back?
