If pro-lifers were actually willing to align their actions and their morals, maybe there wouldn't be endless legions of children in foster care who have yet to be adopted--or are NEVER adopted, period. -Bleach-blonde hair doesn't automatically make one prettier(goes for men & women). Only certain people can pull it off, and the dye is extremely damaging to hair regardless. -Biggie was on a whole other level than 2Pac lyrically & talent-wise, I don't see how the topic is remotely debatable. -Women who critique the sexual behavior of other females(A)have been taught to feel ashamed of own sexuality(B)attempt to bump themselves a notch up in the 'pecking order', suggesting that behavior is below them, or(C)are just hypocrites who've done more risque zhit and judge everyone else to take the heat off themselves. Worry about your OWN sex life. -Amber Rose is among the most beautiful women of all time. The fact she shaves her head does not subtract anything from her appearance. -Self-improvement >>> accepting oneself unconditionally, if it means disregarding personal flaws instead of working to overcome said issues. -Not all compliments are flattering. Some are actually overenthusiastic or inappropriate, thus awkward for the receiver. -I wouldn't want huge boobs, all my busty friends say it's a hassle and claim to struggle finding tops that fit properly. |

Yet, we tell the troops and their families that they are 'heroes' and that they are protecting 'freedom.' they lose their lives and thousands in the countries affected die and suffer all the while executives rake in huge profits from defense contracts, access to that countries resources, and ancillary services. then we, the duped taxpayers foot the bill -The end is near! unless we drastically change..in about 45 to 50 years the environmental damage caused by the burning of hydrocarbons will be irreversible accompanied by a huge die off on the planet as many ecosystems won't be viable. I was at an environmental conference and this was the opinion of many of climatoligists giving speeches. -Religion is not only utter BS, it's also proven to be very harmful as a form of control, separating people, and promoting ignorance. -People that are homophobic are just afraid that they might be gay -Despite what people want to believe, humans are extremely insignificant when given the enormity and complexity of the universe. -Who's the real enemy? the two countries that we constantly hear as threats? Russia has one small tanker fuel depot in syria outside of its territory. China does not have any outside of its territory. The U.S has around 1,100 military bases and posts around the globe..which doesn't take into account the ones that aren't officially counted like the ones in Afghanistan. |

| Here are some of my own: The death penalty should be outlawed. There are many reasons why and to me it isn't even debatable. Women should be paid the same as men. It's all about fairness. Put yourself in another person's shoes for once. No one sex is more superior than or wiser than the other. We do things differently. If we learn to embrace and even try to do things differently, understand each other, perhaps things would be better. Even though we can take control over our lives, no one ever truly makes it alone. Someone helped them along the way. This is proven to be true in all facets of life. While we are able to personally shape our lives, when dealing with and succeeding in the outside world, someone always opens the door or paves the way. I agree with you Size Zero on accepting oneself unconditionally, but that doesn't mean disregarding your personal flaws. To me, it also means the unconditional acceptance that I need to change and improve...which I diligently do. Simply put, I can't ask for someone to be neat and tidy if aim not that way myself. It leads to double standards and most people cannot accept that. But on the other hand, lol, it's the enhancing of the other persons flaws while minimizing our own that is the genesis of most breakups. |

| I agree with 1 and 2. Also, I think our prison system is a bullbutter. Introduce a gulag system sans the whole death part. Back-breaking labor for 14 hours a day can be a strong incentive to quick breaking laws. |

Posted by Chance11 Oppression on the same side of the fence is an obstacle across the board: women use sexist rhetoric against ourselves, closeted bisexual&gay political/religious figures publicly condemn homosexuality to promote personal gain. The list goes on. Prejudice is destructive at any level, in this case due to its aftermath, lingering within the marginalized groups long after laws provide civic equity. People who were deemed inherently inferior often internalize negative stigma aimed their way, and have been socially conditioned to function as subordinates under favored members of humanity. Whenever a girl rejects the but-what-will-people-think-mindset in lieu of self-expression, to speak up or keep it real in general--this makes certain women nervous. Because she represents a part of themselves, lost in their own conditioning process and long forsaken in pursuit of becoming a 'good little girl', rather than remain true to herself regardless of catching disapproval along the way. To act on personal prerogative requires a healthy supply of courage whereas slinging vitriol at fellow women is cowardly. Often, slanderers rely on this as a thinly-veiled testimony to their own exceptional righteousness by condemning others. As if to say "Look! She has it wrong, but me? I'M one of the ~good ones~". |
