I am reading this book and I am wondering if these Japanese men know that they are pedofiles?

Chasing after young teenage girls to get their virginity? I am disgusted...but I can't seem to put the book down.

I should read the book. I liked the movie, but yes, very disturbing.

no, it's part of their culture. i have a japanese friend and she says that to this day, older men prefer young school girls. and they grope you on the subway and pretend it was an accident. i was dumbfounded when she told me this.

Ugh...That book bored me to absolute tears. I got up to maybe page 68. And i love to read. Out of a month I read anywhere between 7 and 12 books that one. I did not care for too much. I am trying to read The Secret Life of Bees but for some reason. I pick it up and put it down and go to something else and i think both of these were on the NY Best Sellers List.
