I've watched the first two installments (I found a torrent of it), intersting stuff so foar.
That Edward Bernay is a bad bad man, hehehe. But it's interesting to watch how the formation of confusing/controlling the masses arose.
The Great Depression screwing him over/ causing a backlash against him made me chuckle though
The part on the Banana Republic and how the CIA trained a rebel army to organise a coup is treetrunked up, plus playing on the US fears of having a communist regime so close to their shores/ cheaping the idea of the Arbenz regime.
I really liked Arthur Miller's comments on how suffering is frowned upon or seen as a sign of weakness when it's more there to inform lives etc, as opposed to 'lobotomised happiness'

This was a good series, quite enjoyable/insighful even if it meanders a little and trails off towards the end.

I haven't seen the other two yet, but I reckon they follow a similar train of thought to 'The Century of the Self'.
Edward Bernay has a lot to answer for imo.:/
