I come from a family of 4 and my ex from 5. We all have children and from my observations...(my kids have put me through most everything)

I've noticed only 2 out of the 9 families have children that are all obedient and respectful right from 0-22yrs

The common denominator in these families is both parents are firm with decisions and never sway. Their No's mean No. And If one says no to something the children have learnt not to dare ask the other the same question. (children use the divide and conquer tactic to get what they want) Plus the parents took the time to talk to their children not at them!

...or they'll become an artist.

Screw 'em up real bad and they'll be a really good one (i.e. famous)!

and they might just end up pretty normal and well-adjusted. That's my theory anyway. Kids often like to rebel against their parents, right? Heh.
