I feel as if relying solely on those angular placements for soul mate connections is a tough call to make. It might produce the result of two people feeling an undeniable attraction to each other, but a relationship isn't plausible because they don't represent someone's best match emotionally, sexually, etc. I feel as if an angular aspect is that "missing piece" or the icing on the cake in synastry.

How do you feel about them in relation to synastry?

I have always had my eye on personal planets and sometimes generational if there's a possibility of really bad interactions. I recently started looking at ascendant/descendant conjunctions and how highly they are revered. Of course, there are others like North Node and IC/MC that get the label of "it's fate" and "meant to be", or that they indicate soul mates (I mean soul mate in the traditional sense, ones lover that is meant for them/their other half). I'm curious particularly about the descendant conjunction because I happen to have a Sagittarius dsc and as a Capricorn I have only read horrible "reviews" and opinions of the pairing. Now, I am well aware of the statement that you have to "look at the ENTIRE chart". BUT, my question is, how do you feel about these connections? Do you think that angular contacts can make for a happy connection even with such an odd pairing of sun signs (or moon for that matter)?
