Revolutionary. Don't like the Status Quo

.... for a specific period of time.

Dating is different, I'm not talking about that.

People, usually women, tend to be confused on where they stand once they've dated a guy for a while and she desperately wants him to love her .. and she rarely realizes any feelings he actually has because she's too fearful of being hurt.

In having relationship contracts, this would ease that confusion in her .. the two would enter into a contract for a period of time ... a year, two years, three?

Two seems good ... after about 18 months if two people aren't going to make it, then it becomes to be obvious at this point. Then once the contract is over, the two can walk away without any obligations to supporting the others feelings, and would provide the utter closure that so many women struggle in finding, due to her overwhelming emotions.

Conditions can be established in this contract for everything .... birth control, finances, extended family involvement .. the whole nine.

If the two people are still digging each other after two years, then they can opt to renew the contract. I'm not talking about a marriage contract .. at the end of a relationship contract, the two people can walk away.

Say a child is concieved, while the contract stated that it was the woman's responsibily to provide for birth control .. then they guy would be able to walk away after the contract without any obligation to her or the child if chose not to because the woman broke the terms of the contract by getting pregnant.

OMG I been saying this for YEARS.

Just a simple Taurus girl :)

You'd be surprised what some women will do. My partner had a woman claim her kid was his and hit him up for child support so when he asked for a DNA test she admitted he wasn't the father at all.

Women get themselves pregnant accidentally on purpose all the time to trap men...crazy.

Babies happen though...the only sure way of not getting yourself pregnant is abstinence...fact!

As for this contract...I'm not built that way emotionally to be so factual about it and I don't apologise for being an emotionally based female.

Regarding the comments about conception during the contract time-frame .. if the two people wish to include this in the contract then they can .. that's the purpose of the contract.

They could put a clause in there regarding the child, if concieved, to provide for the child if necessary ... the whole point in referencing that was to say the person gets to walk away.

so many people (again usually women *sigh*) ... get pregnant for purposes of holding this hostage so she can trap a man. If the contract calls for no children, then that is exactly what should take place.

I don't really buy the accidental pregnancy bullbutter, actually ... I know tons of people who actively participate in honoring their intentions and prevent pregancies because that was the decision made. The only people I know who got accidently pregnant were the people who live recklessly anyway, and are irresponsible in their lives.

I agree with you, VGM, that a lot of people (usually women) enter into relationships that they shouldn't be in ... and that is the reason for the contract.

Another angle, if it's in the contract that the two have to remain faithful to each other and one of them cheats? Then that person can be sued for breach of contract. Now, wouldn't that make these people grow up and stop start taking their bodies more seriously.

Who in their right mind would get pregnant just to keep a man? If it is broke before, a baby certainly won't fix it.
