| It totally does change your perspective. It was a blessing in disguised no I'm living the life I want. Which is richer and more fulfilling. I strongly believe his controlling nature which was very subtle slowly killed my spirit. Hence cancer. Fire evaporates my water. I'm sure he says I dampened his fire. |

| Was married to one for eight years. He treated me like a queen but always with conditions. Wanted all of me and more to the point off asking me to give up my family!! A bit needy a bit narcissist but we flowed because I wasn't ego driven and gave up too much of me. In the end all that show was for show. When the tough got going ( cancer)he bailed but my family stayed. Goes to show all flash , all talk no bite. Lol. Yes he treated me good but how bout when illness comes in will you be there? But other than that. Good man. |

Posted by ScorchedWater Seraph, you're right. Thanks for the response and the sympathy, I appreciate it, I'm way over him though. But, he was my "first love", or what I thought was love anyway, so it is hard to get him out of my mind when I think of what love is supposed to feel like, or when I see a guy put his arm around a girl. And that aries woman could totally take him, but is she manipulative enough to out play him at his game?! When it comes to the mysterious inner workings of the Aries mind, your best bet is to ask the great folks in the Aries forum. First loves are the ones you never forget, but it's the ones that come later, from hard-earned experience, that you'll want to remember.

Posted by ScorchedWater I recently got out of a relationship with a Leo male who was abusive, needy, narcissistic, controlling, and sadistic. treetrunk THAT! I'm sure some Leo guys are good. but I dunno, there's too much of a power struggle. He wanted somebody he could dominate more easily in my opinion. I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience. Sometimes, it only takes one bad experience (in your case it was downright lousy) to ruin someone's perception of a sign for good. And sometimes, yes, the power struggle between Scorps and Leos can be a frightful hill to climb. You might have been better off with a Capricorn. I hear Scorps and Cappys often work out nicely. As for your ex, it seems he had much deeper issues than *just* having to deal with the vicissitudes of an astrological mismatch. For him, I think really the only sign that would have been able to handle him would have been an ARIES WOMAN. Wouldn't you agree? Someone who could put the butch combat boots (hoofs?) to him once in a while. Amirite? I mean, look at that! She at least *looks* like she could handle anything!! Alright, let's be real here, rejection *might* be hard to take for her, and *might* even lead to outright insanity, but hey, 4 legs + 4 legs = 8, and 8 = infinity. Good times!

Reconciliation of Egos. Physically, it should be paradise. Leo/Scorp is a hot match. Both are drawn to one another. But both signs manifest ego - on a grand scale - but in different ways. Both egos need different forms of nourishment. Leo needs to assume the "front man" position, charting the course forward. The "hero" role that Leo likes to play must not infringe on the supporting role that Scorpio's ego prefers to play. All the behind-the-scenes work that allows Leo to shine. Leo *needs* that support, and Scorpio *needs* to be given the freedom to give it, and to decide how it's done. Leo needs to allow Scorpio to organize him, and Scorpio needs to allow Leo his space to shine. So, in military terms, for example, Leo takes the "point", and Scorpio is responsible for the rearguard position. So Leo shouldn't be constantly looking back to worry about the details in an attempt to control them. Likewise, Scorpio must allow Leo to take care of charting the course forward and taking the spotlight. This doesn't mean Scorpio's ego is "lesser" or unimportant. It means that Scorpio's ego *is not* fulfilled by the same things that fulfill Leo's ego. So recognize the possibility of a power struggle, and then understand the needs of both particular egos in order to avoid it. Then you can let that natural magnetism that draws both signs together do its magical work. |
