One of the reasons I deleted my original dyrstr8z screen name was because I shared too much real world information about my Scorpio. She doesn't participate
on DXP, so her privacy trumped other considerations.
Since then, I've been much less open -- but I hate that. Not just for myself, but for all of us, because I think it puts limits on the free exchange of
ideas.
But, on the Internet, we all have to be cautious.

Here's a Sad Truth for You: Very few people on this Forum give a hoot in hell for what you have to say, because you're a Drive-By Poster [DY's emphasis - to further her embarassment!]. On occasion, you'll insert a graphic that may or may not have anything to do with the thread -- good for a quick laugh -- but as insubstantial as the foam on a mug of beer.
Light & airy, but of no real value to the drinker.
Whereas: I could create a thread like, "Cappysweetie - Show Us Your Tits!" and it would get 10 to 50 times the number of hits one of your threads would get.
DXPers know DY. They know he's Real. They may want to wring his neck, but that's because they know he has a neck -- he sticks it out all the time.

For those who missed cappysweetie's "Thank You, Thank You" thread, I'll summarize: She created it to cheer for the deletion of the "GetWithIt" account, because that user created threads with vile language and insults in them. She thanks DXPnet for removing that account. I objected to the removal as censorship.
Here's a post of mine that may have led her to delete the thread:

cappysweetie has just earned an honorable mention on this profile page.
First, she deleted her own "Thank You, Thank You" thread. Then, she probably caused my "Cappysweetie: Thread Killer" thread to be removed by The Community. No matter. There's more than one way to get The Facts presented.
Second, she pissed me off - not a good thing to do! Cappy, you know, I could e-mail the entire contents of the deleted thread using a public system (like Yahoo! mail), and the contents would show up in the search engines (Bing, Google, etc.) within 48 hours.
Anywho...
Here's the PM I sent "cappysweetie" after my first thread got removed:
