Both? In different ways I take on both of them. Sun is in the 12th so I’ve been more aware of the Asc. But as I’ve gotten more aware of myself.. Ummm look at all those other traits ( from my 12th house sun) 😂

I'm actually not quite sure how the sun and Ascendant work. I know your Sun describes your overall personality, how people perceive you, but isn't it the same with the Ascendant too?

Well Ascendant is people’s first impression of you they say. So for example I am a Sagittarius sun & I’m a Capricorn Ascendant. I am not very approachable due to the Asc. Reserved, people think I don’t like them. But really I just need to be comfortable around you & then I act like that Sag. My sun is also in the 12th house which can mean it’s hidden. Does that help?

Yep! I got the part about how the Sun and Ascendant differ. House thing I'm still unclear, will get a hang of it eventually maybe. 😅

I’m still learning too, but I have learned quite a bit from hanging around here. There are threads about various houses if you want to look at the past threads. It might help.

Well as for me I am also Cap dominant & am on the Sag-Cap cusp so the Cap comes out strongly and I tend to act like that, but the sun is strong lol so I’m kinda like a hybrid of the two. The older I get, I act more like a Sag actually,

Ah! I am Gemini dominant. I am a cusper too, on the cusp of Taurus and Gemini. I too feel like a hybrid. Plus, I looked up in some site which calculated percentage of each element in me and it pretty much is balanced out which kinda explains how sometimes I myself don't know what I'd do, I surprise myself lol.

I sometimes think my Gemini is taking over me as I grow old since I'm becoming more flexible now, unlike my Taurus self. I also made this thread on Taurus forum. I was curious if all of us, as humans start being more flexible with age or is it something with our charts.

Ah interesting!! Well I think part of it is the nodes. Mine are Capricorn/Cancer. They say past life would be more like a Cap and your goal in this life to work more towards Cancer. Which I have done some of that work via personal growth probably during a midlife crisis. as I went away from acting like a Cap or facing fears that Cap traits kept me more controlled with, the letting go helped the Sag naturally come out more. Does that make sense?

I just looked up my nodes. North is Scorpio and South is Taurus. So my goal in life is to be more like a Taurus? Interesting.

No you have that backwards. My north Node is Cancer. And south is Capricorn.

Oh okay. So I have to be more like a Scorpio? I'm the least Scorpio, really.

    Here you go:

    Your North Node Life Path:
Taurus and Scorpio are the signs that rule money, power and sensuality. If you born with a Taurus north node or a Scorpio north node, your destiny involves learning to balance the spiritual and material worlds. These nodes exude sexual prowess, earthy sensuality and power. Channeling these dynamic forces in healthy, balanced ways can be a challenge, as these lunar nodes are prone to extremes. You are often pulled between the practical and mystical, the sensible and the spiritual.

Taurus south node/Scorpio north node people are learning to embrace “what could be” instead of fixating on “what is.” They have spent lifetimes steeped in material world as hardworking, practical people. They enjoyed spending money, and could resurface as arbiters of luxury and fine taste. Taurus rules the senses: touch, taste, smell, sound, sight. They might be gifted artists and musicians (Prince and Justin Bieber were both born with Scorpio north node) or have a keen sense of style (like iconic fashion designer Coco Chanel).

This lifetime, indulgence and hedonism can be their downfall. Their Scorpio north node pries them away from the physical and into the spiritual realm. Scorpio north node people are learning about life beyond their senses and daily habits (work, eat, sleep, drink, screw, repeat). Scorpio also rules wealth and investments. These people are learning to make their money work for them, instead of just working for their money.

On the flip side, Taurus north node/Scorpio south node people have arrived here to work! In past lives, they were powerful and privileged people who were often born into wealth. They may have been advisors to royalty or political leaders, working masterfully behind the scenes. Now, it’s their time to step into a position of public power, rolling up their sleeves and learning to be the providers, earners and do-ers. In this lifetime, inherited wealth or status is a burden, not a blessing. They yearn to be bootstrappers, proving that they can do it themselves! Many Scorpio south nodes need to break free of “golden handcuffs.” For example, they may have overprotective families who control them with emotional blackmail or often, by financing their lives (thereby eliminating the “need” to work). Fighting to be self-sufficient is often a struggle. What Taurus north node people should do is use their money, connections and influence to help open doors for people who don’t have their privilege.

Scorpio is a mysterious sign, and the Scorpio south node’s challenge is to shed a veil of secrecy. While anonymity protected them in past lives, too much privacy now creates trouble. (Case in point: Scorpio south node Hillary Clinton’s private email account that led to a federal investigation.) These people can even earn a reputation as untrustworthy and calculating. Some Scorpio south node people are born into families with deep, dark secrets: addiction, abuse, corruption, crime. Their soul work is to move past shame. Taurus rules the throat chakra; Taurus north nodes are learning to speak out loud.

We have our boring moments and then some. It'll pass.
An all-passion relationship is exhausting. How about just napping every now and then?

You can look at this as the beginning of the end or look at it as a new facet of the relationship emerging and you adapt.

I'm going to take a guess....LDR? chill together, without the need for conversation. Watch something, listen to music together. Just chill, y'know?

I really hope it's not the beginning of the end, I guess things "die off" once the honeymoon phase is over and I hope that's just that, and not us losing interest in each other.

How to tell the difference though?

Should I bring it up? I kind of hinted about it and said oh the flame is going out! And he said we're just ambers that haven't caught fire yet.

The bolded part kind of says it all for him. The fire is building for him, so go with the flow.
Seems to me like he wants to pace it. No rushing because he may not see the need to. Temperance.

As a taurus, I personally don't trust things that are all "honeymooney", because it tends to be an illusion and it doesn't allow for the real world to come in. In a real relationship, it's always a mixture of either extreme at some point or other.

The way for me to know if I'm losing interest boils down to the all-too famous taurus routine. We make decisions based on what and who we allow in our lives. If I (general I) make a decision based around you, I'm still into you; I want to fit you in somewhere in my life and allot time specifically for you. It's not an insult when a taurus consciously schedules you in. At least I don't see it that way ?
It's when they start doing things without considering you anymore, that you can worry.

It sounds like a legitimate worry of yours, so you can talk to him about it if you want.

    Nine Taurus Tyrants
    Keyword(s): history
A few years back, I was curious to see if my being born under the sign of Taurus (April 20 - May 20) meant anything, and so I started researching famous Taureans to look up any consistency in personality traits, vocations or whatever. To my surprise, I discovered that many of the world's biggest tyrants were all born under Taurus. (The rest were either Capricorn or Leo. I'm not joking. These three signs make up the majority of the worst dictators in history.) Is it just coincidence? You decide.
Pol Pot (born May 19, 1925). Communist who took over Cambodia in 1976 and instituted a policy of torture and murder which resulted in the deaths of over a million Cambodians.
Ayatollah Khomeini (born May 17, 1900). Led a revolution which converted Iran from a secular monarchy to a theocracy led by Muslim fundamentalists. Waged war on Iraq and started that whole "Islam vs. America" thing.
Saddam Hussein (born April 28, 1937). Dictator of Iraq; former enemy of Khomeini, frequent enemy of the US. No weapons of mass destruction, but plenty of dead Iraqis during his reign.
Adolf Hitler (born April 20, 1889). This man needs no introduction, but there is some disagreement as to whether Hitler was a Taurus or an Aries, as some horoscopes have Taurus commencing on April 21. Majority rules, though, so I'm going with April 20.
Catherine the Great (born May 2, 1729). Though revered by Russians for making St. Petersburg a world-class city, Catherine came to power thanks to a military coup against her own husband, who was soon murdered. She waged two wars against the Ottoman empire, conquering lands and having countless innocents killed in the name of Russian expansion. Such expansion would not be seen again until the Soviet Revolution.
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (born April 22, 1870). Speaking of Soviets... Lenin believed in violence to achieve his ends, and after a bloody revolution, he led an even bloodier civil war against Russian reactionaries who didn't care to become Marxists. (Karl Marx was a Taurus, too.) Just as he started to realize that his beliefs were too harsh for a nation suffering from famine, Lenin was incapacitated by a number of strokes, and the irrefutably nasty Stalin (a Capricorn) succeeded him, against his wishes.
Oliver Cromwell (born April 25, 1599) Power-mad military strategist and "Lord Protector of England" who invaded Scotland, Ireland, and France in the most brutal conquest in English history, organized massacres left and right, and almost became King after bringing his old boss Charles I to trial and execution.
Ho Chi Minh (born May 19, 1890) Vietnamese Communist leader who invaded South Vietnam in order to force it to unite with newly-Communist North Vietnam - which involved fighting the French, the Americans, and other partisan nations. He succeeded, of course.
Niccolo Machiavelli (born May 3, 1469) Though little more than a political brown-noser during his day, Machiavelli gained infamy for his survival guide for despots, The Prince, which set forth the rules of maintaining power through intimidation and unscrupulous cunning. It prefigured the ambitions of not only the eight dictators above, but other famous Taurus megalomaniacs including Jim Jones, Maximilien Robespierre, Lucrezia Borgia, Eva Peron, Marshall Applewhite, Emperor Hirohito, George Lucas, and Barbra Streisand.

Its Taurus season so best time to post some Taurus topics. Anyway this type of thing has intrigued me since I started learning about figures and their signs. Taurus has more world leaders than any other sign through history by a large margin. Had me thinking why. Theories are its a patience and determination thing to a large degree. No one is going to match Taurus stick to it ness and determination or just "lets do this for real" attitude. Like no this is really getting done haha. Also, I have always kind of known I was the man so to speak not a bragging thing but, hey amongst us Bulls I trust you get what Im saying. Im just...dont want to seem like a braggart but just being honest, like up here. Its kind of hard to put into words. Found this on another site.
