Aloe Vera Gel

I have started to use this as a moisturiser for the past couple of days and have noticed a change in my complexion.. My skin looks smoother and seems to have a glow. Has anyone tried it? :)

Yess! I have been using Aloe for years. I used to use it as my daily moisturiser but it has a tendency to peel when it dries.. I now use Vit E & Rosehip oil for moisturiser, but I still stand and swear by Aloe. I put that butter on everything! Great for cuts, scraps, burns, in-grown hair, you name it!

I also use this product daily. It is just Aloe, Witch Hazel, Tea Tree, Vit E & Rosemary. Best stuff in the world for your complexion! smile

I couldn't get it delivered to here so i made some......found out the ingredients and it works very well. It feels like a face mask and i leave it on for a while and then apply some oil on the top. I swear my skin looks more healthier

    Thanks again xxx

Aloe Vera is one of the easiest plants to grow, does best in part sun conditions. Once you cut open the leaf the gel becomes less effective the longer it's exposed to the air. For best results harvest fresh leaves as needed.

Aloe IS a succulent, aka a desert plant. So full sun is what they need, not part sun. Aloe can also be stored in the fridge for a week or so.

Mine was 5 feet tall before I cut that sucker down and replanted the pups that I salvaged. They are indeed easy to grow. We ignored this one for years and it got all crazy and overgrown.

Not all succulents do best in full sun. Many varieties grow better in part sun to shade, including aloe vera. Trust me, I'm a certified horticulturist.

And again once you cut open the plant and exposed the flesh to the air it loses its properties quickly. Better to cut what you need, instead of storing for long periods of time in your fridge.

YES! I've used it for years on & off.

Good tip: Keep it in the fridge : ) - reduces puffiness and if you have a sunburn it feels really good.

THis reminded me i was looking to buy an aloe vera plant.

I just started using berts bees body lotion and I can't believe how smooth my legs feel!! Even today I didn't use it and there are still smooth! I'm so in love with it. There's Shea butter and vitamin E.

    Yes. I love it ❤
  • I use it as a shaving gel. Don't really use it much on my face. Too sticky.

I love using Aloe Vera and it's products. I always keep a bottle of Aloe Vera gel in my refrigerator and apply it as a mask for 30mins before washing it off.

I have sensitive combination skin and I find it very soothing during summer days.

Do you ever leave it on as a moisturiser?

It's simply great. I use it on scar tissue. It's useful as to moisturizing and somehow skin just looks better. I think it's anti-inflammatory too.

    Made by whom pls?

I found this to be one of the best. Whatever you buy, make sure it doesn't contain alcohol because it will lead to dry skin longterm.

I'm using the gel straight from the plant as well, by cutting 1 cm of the leave and opening it up to scoop its content.

Plants are easy to look after, I only water them every 2 weeks.

It's good stuff. Aloe is not only for every day cosmetical use, but also completely depuffs eyelids and makes little blemishes disappear.

I was actually wondering why is that only few are using it. I once found a pdf with all the components in the gel and there were many of them, some even with collagen stimulating properties. Meaning that the texture of your skin will get better, noticeable if you are over 35.

Thanks undine, that is very exciting to read..... smile

    By the plant itself, lol!

I have one. But too lazy to peel it!

You don't have to peel. Just cut a bit of leaf and scoop the gel out with your finger! It's as easy as opening a cream bottle!

    No it's not!
