^^The symbolism of the bull posted above is helpful I think (but this is because I'm familiar with your posting history )
The most interesting part of this dream for me is that you know you should be afraid of something or you feel it is EXPECTED that you should be afraid of [whatever the bull represents for you] but you are not. You pet it anyway. But the bull doesn't exactly let you pet it-- so something you should be afraid of, you are not afraid of it, you try to connect with it but you can not.
Whatever you should be afraid of, you aren't, because there is some measure of control (the rider on the bull). The rider on the bull is a male, but really the rider on the bull is some part of yourself. So some part of yourself, appearing as a masculine entity (perhaps mars energy) is controlling something that you used to be afraid of but you aren't quite connecting with/ did not yet completely resolve.
For dreams to be subconscious at work, it could mean that you've been working at something, and it is starting to become clear to your conscious mind. You aren't afraid of this (fear/rejection/etc what the bull represents) and you "let it in" you can now see it, acknowledge it, no longer buried.
This is one aspect.
The other interesting thing is that the rider says the bull can tear the walls down. Something guided by male energy, which you feel should scare you but doesn't, is "allowed in" by you And you try to connect with it, but can't, but nothing bad happens And this thing reveals to you that it can destroy a barrier that you have put up
So I think, maybe you have the rest Hope this helps
