No need to be confused. He cheated on you. That's clear. Factual. He's now doing what the average man does AFTER cheating. It's called, putting on an act. Don't fall for it. Get counseling, write in your diary, pray etc. But UNTIL he does the WORK, and has TRUE REGRET, don't even think about taking his lying ass back!
On another note, it is NEVER WISE to stay with a cheater "for the children". Children want their parents happy and in healthy situations. Not cheating, lying, abusive, unhealthy, unstable ones. Trust me.
Im totally with this.. living with my parents after father cheating and mother never truly forgave him is living hell. He became more abusive and a serial cheater, they are separated, unhappy yet still live in the same house for the same old reasons (children and financial support).
If you cannot forgive him, if you cannot trust him anymore, save your son
