There is a twitter post that asked this question. I thought the replies were interesting (links below).

"Most men don't marry the woman they love(d) the most. They marry the woman that is around when they are ready to marry".

I saw this shared on Instagram and wanted some male opinions on this. Is this statement completely false or does it hold some truth?

Married/Prev-married users did you marry the love of your life?

Do you think you SHOULD marry the love of your life? I think that should not necessarily be the case. What do y'all think?

This is sad if true, I mean even if a woman gets the guy to commit it is because she was just around when the time was right for him, and not because he sees her as a life partner.
They choose someone who's around, build a family, and then they feel stuck and so they cheat. -_-
I think I'm taking this way too personal but is that really how men choose the women they marry? Can a man answer that for me plz
