First off, I read on a Twitter discussion that this sign is of the the most "abused" and mocked sign in popular culture (if a character is "crazy", we found out later it's because it's a Gemini), so posters of this sign protested this misrepresentation. I think the generalities of signs should never be taken so seriously, but I do see why some Geminis would feel offended by this, although knowing this sign, most of them would probably LAUGH.
Anyway. I have a fascination with the sign, because despite having grown up with incredibly problematic Geminis, family members that I don't see anymore, I always thought they had a "beat" to keep up with, be it knowing and choosing the best songs of the era, creating stuff, and generally being so mentally active. Pisceans are known for bringing out their best in the right environment, and this was my case. It's like if my Gemini family members brought problems but also guitars to the house, I'd take the guitar and try my own thing with it.
They're great in the abstract. I don't know many outside of my family, certainly I don't have any close friendships with Geminis, but yet I feel the closest to Geminis via art, because for some weird reason, most of my favorite artists are consistently Geminis, being writers, musicians, filmmakers... and what's so fascinating is not that their approach is always unique, witty, smart and rich in references... they never shy from going against the rules of how an art form should be approached, they have that open state of mind so deeply ingrained in their crazy heads, but the most important thing is how their art is also incredibly moving and even sentimental... so much for the "detachment" cliché associated with the sign.
