The real problem with all of this is the lack of sexual and consent education by parents and the double standard of sex being a private commodity while it’s publicly shamed.
And of course the disparity between how people get taught about sex or not taught about it based on their sex.

My mom handed me a book on periods. I got the typical sexed in school but never discussed it with my parents. I learned it from molestation and rape.
Not the way I plan on teaching my daughter. I’ve had basic non sexual anatomy discussions so far but I’m getting close to the stage where I will have another conversation with her so she actually gets real information. Then I’ll repeat with more info later with a reminder that she can come to me for help with condoms and birth control when she’s an older teen.

I never said Russia is the one spreading Communism now. Sadly people gain too much knowledge from Wikipedia pages and YouTube, and not getting a rounded education from every source and experience.
Even if I don’t like Murdoch based news I‘ll still consume it to get a better understanding where the opposition is coming from. Conspiracy - a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful
Just a reminder that the word "conspiracy" has nothing to do with tin foil hats, has nothing to do with making up random shit out of nowhere. The word has purposefully been twisted and linked with the word "theory" to marginalize people who speak about the documented realities of what people in power do. Even when the government is transparent and releases files about government agencies torturing people or any number of other atrocities and human rights violations, most people are either completely unaware, don't believe it, or just simply don't care. Of course people in power conspire to do whatever dirt it takes to maintain their power and further it, and have the means to. And it's why things as fucked up as child abuse aren't exposed in these insular circles of society
But make up a couple of wacky theories of misinformation that some people fall for to discredit the very real evil that goes on and people file all of the real actual conspiracies into the same file
My issue is when folks without any real understanding of how things actually work, try to explain these theories. We know how sex trafficking works. We either just can't stop it.. or the powers at be have work arounds because they don't want to stop it. This is a real conspiracy.
But when you start going down the "rabbit hole" and tying it to a small pizza business in DC to trafficking? Like wtf..
You need not look any further than the CIA/US government officials "working" with cartels and organizations around the world. Same with weapons. Same with drugs.

Just a reminder that the word "conspiracy" has nothing to do with tin foil hats, has nothing to do with making up random shit out of nowhere. The word has purposefully been twisted and linked with the word "theory" to marginalize people who speak about the documented realities of what people in power do. Even when the government is transparent and releases files about government agencies torturing people or any number of other atrocities and human rights violations, most people are either completely unaware, don't believe it, or just simply don't care. However I would argue that things are a lot worse than most people realize than its opposite, things being not as bad as most people realize. I think with folks like myself, Rabbit, and others on this board.. you know we at least have a basic understand of how the world works. We all know the realities of trying to legislate something as serious as sex trafficking. It's an uphill battle.
IMO those that regularly talk about the real stuff, with the actual education and evidence to back it up, are drowned out by the fringe theories that do more harm than good. So, to get the real message back on track.. and the truth that comes with it, those fringe theories have to be debunked. Realistically, those theories will dissipate once whatever they are trying to cover up, goes away (in this case, post election).
I don't know. Yes.. I'm concerned about the real stuff. But I'm just as concerned as false information influencing the decisions of others. Social media really is the devil no one could have predicted.
