It's just my perspective. Everything is speculation. No one knows why they got married or why it worked for so many years.

She obviously loved him. Looking at pictures and the way she holds him...she wanted him. Maybe she enjoys power or confidence? Maybe that was part of the attraction? I mean they had two kids together...

No argument there. Harvey is guilty as sin. There are no redeeming qualities about his conduct. I was however addressing an other issue that kind of pisses me off when it comes to rape accusations these days. It went from one extreme where women were constantly made accountable, to the other extreme where you can consensually fuck a guy for years (to boost your career) and then cry rape bc you suddenly unfroze.

In Harvey's case it was one of many routine procedures of sexual misconduct and abuse of power. BUT, for a lot of guys who'd have found themselves in a similar situation as Asia Argento dedcribed, the lines between rape and a successful Tinder date are pretty fuckig blurred. Even for the girl.. apperantly. Just ask Argento.

Know what you want. Know how far you're willing to go. She wasn't precisely a spring chicken, having grown up in the film industry and knowing what goes on behind the curtains. Not many producers hold interviews privately and in bathrobes. Gimme a fcking break.

Ah, I used to be different. You'd have loved me. But having met a lot of people and friends of people over the course of the last two years, I've come to realize that stereotypes are pretty accurate and I can't look the other way anymore just because it suits my world-view better. And these stereotypes go for women aswell. You are quite an irrational bunch. It's not a hate thing though, it just makes me appreciate the rational ones all the more. 🙂

Men however, are oftentimes just mirrors of women's actions and reactions. The only time men are manipulative and nasty is when they are trying to get you in the doggy style position. That's pretty much it. This checks out for like the majority of people that have entered and left my fleeting existence lately.

So let me get this straight. Your experience is supposedly the same as that of every supposed rape victim? And I should be sensitive to every woman who claims she's been raped no matter how ridiculous the claim is?

I am sensitive. That is why I brough it up, which completely escaped you bc you chose the emotional route. It's what bothers me about her story. Not that "a guy can't even get away with rape anymore" but that she plays victim after years of being perfectly capable of willingly jumping his dick.
