    Also, Tibetan singing bowls are extremely relaxing.

    I can't fall asleep without something covering me either, no matter how hot it is outside.

    I know with my mother it's because of trauma in her childhood..she cannot fall asleep if her feet aren't covered. No idea about me lol.

    rain; water and wave sounds, audio files. as of late; fire crackling. but without underlying ambient music. just the pure sounds; there are tons on youtube you can convert into mp3.

    works like a charm.


    If you have Android (I think on Iphone too) there's this app called nature sounds. Another is rain sounds with different types of rain. I think I have 4 apps with nature sounds and stuff. Found one that is the noise of a vintage train gently rocking me to sleep.

    The fire crackling with owl sounds in the distance is another favorite.

    Try turning off all screens 2 hours before you lay down to sleep. The artificial light treetrunks with our eyes and brains keeping us more alert/awake.
