According to a New York Times report, Trump declared in December that the 15,000 Haitians who received visas in 2017 "all have AIDS." In that same report, he reportedly said that 40,000 Nigerians who came to the United States would never "go back to their huts."

The report came about a month after the Trump administration removed protections for nearly 60,000 immigrants from Haiti, who were granted temporary residency following a 2010 earthquake.

In 2016, Trump attacked Gonzalo Curiel, a federal judge from Indiana born to Mexican parents who was president two Trump University lawsuits. The president said Curiel should recuse himself from the trial, because he was biased.

"He’s a Mexican," he said. "We’re building a wall between here and Mexico."

House Speaker Paul Ryan called the remarks against Curiel a "textbook definition of a racist comment."

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to countries mentioned by the lawmakers.

Trump then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries such as Norway, whose prime minister he met with Wednesday. The president, according to a White House official, also suggested he would be open to more immigrants from Asian countries because he felt that they help the United States economically.

In addition, the president singled out Haiti, telling lawmakers that immigrants from that country must be left out of any deal, these people said.

“Why do we need more Haitians?” Trump said, according to people familiar with the meeting. “Take them out.”

Also in 2013 Trump repeats falsehoods on minorities and crime.

During the ramp-up to George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin trial, Trump tweets that “the overwhelming amount of violent crime in our cities is committed by blacks and Hispanics.” This seems to come from a New York City report showing blacks and Hispanics were also the majority of crime victims. An FBI report disputes Trump’s claim nationally.

LOL are you copy pasting from the internet? Most of it can be fake news.
Show me the fake news or keep it moving.
Well, I don't see him behind the bars or being tried in any court of law. To a law student, it seems like nothing but hypothetical allegations.

These are all statements that have come from his mouth...on camera. Or that he has tweeted. Like I said...if you don't have anything to contribute, keep it moving.

That means the government can't shut you up. Civil society doesn't have to tolerate you tbh.

His racist inflammatory rhetoric has real tangible consequences.

Hate crimes have increased since he took office.
Indeed. Words hold power. The words of the leader of the free world even more so.

Posted by AwesomeGovernment is working as it should, everything is going according to the constitution.
The constitution was written in an era where women and minorities had no rights. Written by old white men who owned slaves.

Side note: according to the constitution taxes are unamerican and illegal. So not really 'going accordingly', no.
The constitution is fully amendable and so it has been amended hundreds of times according to the time and the need and the demand of the situation by the lawmakers. This is their job. They are doing pretty good. In fact, other countries refer to American constitution before formulating their own. for eg. India

Lawmakers who are historically racists, sexists, anti-semantic, easily bought, etc. etc.

But this thread is not about a discussion of the constitution. It’s about trumps racist statements.

Of course not.. Use your freedom of speech and right to protest.. force the law makers (in a peaceful way) to take action. This is the right way to go at it.

There right to assembly ( for the purposes of speech and to enact change) even though it is a constitutional right is often contested for marginalized communities

the police often taken arms to non violent protesters who are simply acting out their constitutional rights

In the court of law, this stands to be a hypothetical allegation.

from a law students point of view.

well

hypothetically you aren't a trump sympathizer or racist yourself

but it doesn't matter if you are or if you aren't

what matters is the implication of your argument

I just forwarded your claim to several actual practicing lawyers trained byHarvard, Yale, Stanford, and Berkely?....For shits and giggles one of them is even a Republican.

They all independently said you are full of it and have thinking that is common to a 1L.
Good for you.
Even better for you...lets you know you have some work to do before your own future peers consider you to be a serious law student. One of them said you need to review your chapter on logical fallacies and also on jurisprudence.

That is what i am trying to say, none of his racist statements are direct or violates any law in the constitution and thus he cant be tried in the court of law. He is simply enjoying his freedom of speech which mught sound unpresidential.

No one here made that claim. You seem confused.

Also check your facts. He was tried multiple times in the 70s and 80s for discriminating in housing and employment and was found GUILTY by federal courts. His money saved him from rotting in prison. But make no mistake. He is a criminal.

He's the president of the United States - he can do and say whatever he wants (: just like a spoiled/pampered king from the old days). Well, almost everything... You should be glad that he's now allowed to execute people - for not agreeing with his way of thinking. 😀
Jeez neves ....just roll over and beg for treat why dont cha?

He is not our king ....he is an elective government official....that is SUPPOSED TO DO WHAT'S BEST FOR ALL PEOPLE. 😢

he is clearly bias... and that should be a real concern for everyone in American...should being the key word
