The main thing going on is wacked Heather Webber in the Sanitarium. She surely is scheming inside as she has a gun in a doll, but everything is not going as planned. Heather is mostly in the crazy house because she sold her baby on the black market :O. Just what is she up to now…
Meanwhile, Luke and Laura are interested in what a new man in town, Robert Scorpio is up to.

Laura has a “date” with the mysterious Aussie Robert Scorpio. Robert is keeping tabs on Luke. But Luke is having them go on a date to be a distraction to Robert while Luke does some investigating of his own.
Jeff Weber is in the episode (aka Richard Dean Andersons aka MacGyver) and he and his date with Diana may be in trouble. Diana has something important she wants to tell Jeff. Diana
is sure Heather is faking amnesia. FYI Jeff is the one who had a baby with Heather. Speaking of Heather she is still up to something in the sanitarium as she is playing mute.
This is quite a good episode. Dianas revelation to Jeff about the possible whereabouts of his baby… and then Heathers scheme of revenge is looking to be a SUCCESS! The Luke/Laura/Robert stuff was pretty good too.

You get your first look at the awesome and somewhat goofy Quartermaine family who are always suspicious of each other and certainly interrogating each other in this episode. Lots of secrets around. Alan Quartermaine is getting close to another woman, Susan Moore….
Diana cannot seem to get through to Jeff. Heather’s plan is going quite smoothly…
This episode was not as good as the last one as it was one of those soap opera stalling episodes, but any time the Quartermaines are on brings a breath of fresh air to GH as they bring some humor with their drama.

And then theyll come across one of the soap operas and get hooked and distract her from her virgo problems. And she can say...hey my virgo may hate me with all of his judgement, but at least he isnt trying to kill me like Tonio from As the World Turns!
Also I may start writing little minisodes of a "soap opera" based on characters astrology signs for another website. And if I post it here too, maybe these soap opera threads can ease DXPers into the idea of fictional drama rather than petty DXP drama

I'm sure we've talked about it before but I would have loved to have been at this age in the 90s and been on the cast/crew of that. Just writing back to back episodes all year long on the fly.
Doing all nighters like: "I've got it! We just make him fall down an elevator shaft!"
I still think I could write a bomb ass soap opera.
The American Soaps only hire the same ol writers tho like a never ending carousel of the same old damn writers who just get lazy. Bastards.

-Alan and Susan continue their affair
-Lukes sister Bobbie is getting antsy waiting for Luke and Alex. Luke introduces Robert Scorpio to everyone…
-Jeff wonders if he really know where his baby is now. Diana continues to try and get through to Jeff that the baby she adopted is Jeffs with Heather and also trying to get through to him abitu Heather faking everything…Heather meanwhile lurks nearby…
-Anne overhears something she perceives as bad…
At the End something dire is on the verge of going down…

-With Robert distracted Luke goes on his search…but will the distraction last?
-A stressed Jeff is trying to get into the records room at General Hospital.
-Anne is still upset about what she overheard with Jeff and Diana.
With a stressed Jeff on the verge of finding out the truth about his son….and Anne an emotional mess from what she overheard….Heather’s plan is almost going too smooth….and someone ends up dead!

I just went into my wooden dressoir where I keep all my little DXP figures, I carefully pushed my "nights" figure a few inches closer to the "remixfishy" figure, toward the "wackos" part of the diorama.

I disagree because of giving full consideration to the character's entire life begining to end. For example, Laura's strength, depth, and sensitivity. She feel in love and had a successful relationship with her rapist, she had a baby she couldn't remember, and became a catatonic.

-Bobbie tries to warn Alex to not get Luke into trouble. Alex meanwhile is intrigued by the competition there seems to be between Luke and Robert.
-Robert and Luke have to fight off some of Cassadines Goons, but this seems to bring them closer. But can they find the ice princess aka the worlds largest uncut diamond.
-Laura continues to be kept in the dark about a lot of the plan
-Anne is convinced that Jeff is now in love with Diana
-Heathers plan went well for her, but the aftermath may have her in trouble as she is stopped at a traffic stop after a car accident ahead of her on the road.

-A lot of injuries from the multiple car accident. This puts a lot of doctors at General Hospital on call.
-Luke tells Alex he thinks he can still find her stolen items including the ice princess.
-Alan and Susan continue their affair cuddles.
-Rick tells Lesley that Diana told Jeff about Heather possibly faking amnesia and PJ actually being Jeffs son Steven Lars.
-Heather who is still disguised as a nurse, is trying to avoiding having to go to the hospital because of all the victims being brought in and she has to avoid Rick and Jeff who are at the crash site. Jeff wants to get to the sanitarium and talk to Heather. Can Heather beat him back to the sanitarium before he can notice she is gone?
Damn these shows know how to stall the good stories

Holy shit this series is sweet im only 2 episides in so far is tense, beautiful and brilliantly thought out.

Oh yes DXP it is time for a soap opera invasion by yours truly. DXP is of course a soap opera itself so these soaps are light in comparison. A nice change of pace, really.
GH has never been one of my favorites tbh, but there is no denying the popularity GH had in the heyday of American Soaps in the 80's.
The couple of Luke and Laura became ridiculously popular. I myself am not so sure why, but something must work for them.
An episode of GH in 1981 had over 30 million viewers which is still in the top 50 most watched American Episodes of any show ever.
So the first of many soaps to post about shall be GH.
