I've been given the opportunity to take my dream vacation to Scotland.....the trip includes Ireland but I'm mostly interested in Scotland. I've been a bit obsessed with this country for years. I was in England once but didn't get to go to Scotland. It's a 2 week trip but I might never come home. I have to come up with the money tho and that will be the most difficult part but if I have to live like a homeless person for a year and hustle more than I ever have had to do, I will. It's a guided tour so I don't have much of a say so as to where I am going but does anyone have any suggestions for my free time? I'm going to be with most of my family( about 12 of us) but I know I'm going to want to wander off on my own.

@Romzilla Thank You. I like the sketching idea. I'm not that great at drawing but I'm not bad at landscapes. It has been years since I've travelled abroad but you did remind me of a few pointers. Def will have my music with me. I'm used to layering being from Florida, in the winter it goes from 40 degrees to 80 degrees within hours of the sun rising and falling. I'd be going in August so by that time I will welcome the cold air(it's been around 99+ degrees all summer) I'm a quiet person so I should fit in well. What do you mean about tipping?
My natal chart is in my profile photos.
Been to England and Ireland but not Scotland, came close to going, always wanted to go. There are free walking tours there you can go on, just have to tip so technically it's not free:

I was going to suggest clean hostels, and you can get PRIVATE rooms too if you want. However, if you want CHEAPER than that. You can go camping, rent a place campsite, just have your tent and carry it along.

it's a good time during the summer but Scotland is very very cold. It's not exactly warm even though you are going in the summer. I'd suggest a thick jacket anyway. blankets. It's gonna be like that BIG backpack you will carry like the true story of Virgo sun/Libra venus/Leo mars Cheryl Straid.

she had this HUGE backpack toting around and she didn't have much money.

Be prepared for a lot of rain. Dundee is especially beautiful, but don't expect to understand the language and... again... don't underestimate the weather.

My hubby and I are planning our trip to Scotland too this fall. We are looking for the best hotels in Scotland to stay at. Any recommendations? They say it's rainy there... Hope, rain won't spoil our trip

When i went to Scotland , rain made us miss out on a lot specially at Isle of Sky(getting rooms is difficult there specially in season so booking in advance is advisable). It got difficult to step out as it not just rains but gets very windy there .

I loved Scotland . It took sometime for me to get over the place after i came back. Highland is beautiful . We just drove around a lot. Took many off routes . Visiting pubs at Edinburgh and Inverness was a great experience. Loved the live music and scotch .
Just writing about it has taken me back to the place and I am missing it Scotland gave me a feeling of peaceful love

A tip : If you are interested hiring a caravan could be amazing there. I didnt do it as it was first time and didnt know we could do that but definitely next time .

The Highlands are where you want to go. So beautiful. I was fortunate to hike up Ben Nevis so if you into that sort of stuff...would really recommend it. Glen Coe is also amazing
Venus ruled, Star gazing Scorpio with Moon in Taurus
Edinburgh is meant to be lovely....I hope to visit soon
