Well, I have a dog and 2 cats. Getting them out would be my priority, and I guess there wouldn’t be time for anything else. And I think im ok with. I like my things, but in the end they’re replaceable. And memories can be kept alive without things to remind you.
    My pets are more important

Same. I have 3 cats and they would be the priority. I have a cat door so hopefully if something like that ever happens, they will be able to get out easily. Often animals react faster than humans - they don't second guess like humans can. During an earthquake, for example, one of my cats ran under my couch while I was still registering mentally what was going on.

Cats often go hiding when scared though so if there's a fire you don't want them to go hiding in the house but to run out.

Yes, hopefully that wouldn't happen. There was a time I burnt something while cooking and there wasn't a fire but there was some smoke and the cats went outside so hopefully that would be their response to a fire. My cats are a mix of being domesticated and kind of wild, thanks to growing up in the countryside, in one case on a farm, so that might help too with how they respond.
