@Sag, I'm 20, so I certainly have room for growth. Perhaps one day I'll be more open to having these types of spiritual experiences. I've always been drawn to topics like this. It started off by having paranormal experiences as a young child and has moved on to me being interested in anything relating to the soul and afterlife. And, I very well could be ignoring it. I have had a phobia of ghosts since I was young, as well, and has really put me off of wanting any paranormal or spiritual experiences.

I comepletely relate; I too was afraid of seeing anything strange. Especially ghost which I would see a lot of in my room when I was a kid, or as I was walking the hallways. I would see dark apparitions, and would run and lock myself in my room.
I remember from time to time I would see a black bird and it would sit at the foot of the bed, sometimes it was a man, other times a bird.
So I understand the reason for being tired off by it; and wanting to ignore. Which is fine. Cause at one point I did the same. Still, I had experiences, it wasn't until the beginning of this year that I came to accept it; because it's that same thing that allows my creative writing to flourish.
Have you ever talked to others(people close to you) about your experiences as a child?

Yes, I openly talk about it. None were particularly negative in any way but it was enough to scare me into never wanting anything to do with it. Although I didn't have frequent experiences as a kid, I have seen and heard far less things as I've gotten older. Even living in my parents' house, my parents and even guests have experienced more than I have, here. My best friend even saw a full apparition. I just hear so many negative things that can come out of interacting with spirits...plus the danger of non-human entities... that I think I'll be scarred forever. I've had an experience with an animal, once, too. But, crows that change form sounds a lot scarier! Doesn't sound like a positive presence at all.
