    I understand.
    I have private insurance.
I personally would review the policy and shop around. I hope it's tax deductible.

You're lucky. I don't think you're able to get privately insured anymore unless you were already prior to ACA. If anyone knows, let me know. I'm highly annoyed. Wasted assets and opportunities. I could have another car by now. I'm not sure why but my parents just never bothered with health insurance before Obamacare because we'd just pay out of pocket if we needed anything. And nope, not tax deductible. It's literally been implemented for insurance companies to make insane profits on a 1000% margin.

Just for that garbage, I'd want Trump president. But it's not as if he'd be able to significantly do much to change it right away.

I can't imagine being without insurance. I'm self protective and can't leave myself vulnerable in any way that is within my control.
I've seen total irreparable destruction... homelessness or death due to lack of health and life insurance.

I figured those are good protective measures for the long-term. I'm still in the process of learning about their benefits and understanding good policies. My parents are just extremely old school people who have assets like land and properties they'd sell if Lord forbid something happened.

I've had friends and co workers with +800k doctor bills. Luckily, their out-of-pocket was tax deductible. Health is nothing to mess around with. My son comes off at age 24 and I have to spend some time figuring it out for him. I can't let my family down financially, especially where life and health are concerned... devasting sorrow is what imagine... to see my loved one ill and not being able to afford keeping my love alive.

That's crazy and heartbreaking. I think ours starts having a deductible after a certain threshold of expenses. I guess it's one of those things you won't really get serious about until you hear eye-opening realities like that. Thank you smile I've got a lot of guiding to do.
