Lmao @ “paint me like one of your French girls!” gif 😂
Thanks for all the compliments even though I’m fully aware I have miles to go before I can permit myself deem them acceptable. To my defense, I literally just started working with pastels & am self taught... plus the material I’m currently using are the cheapest stuff available. The two “finishes” pieces are literally made on 9”x12” sandpaper sheets. LoL My frugality knows no bounds! 😂
I haven’t gotten the chance to watch the videos just yet but I have a documentary to recommend should you be interested. I cannot recall the title at present but it’s on Netflix so I’ll be back with it in a bit. Not a journalistic masterpiece by any means not is it a groundbreaking discovery, but it does shine a light on how wide reaching affects of wars are.... even on art world.
i just love the fact that you can immerse yourself into art ...and do your thing and you know the saying, practice makes perfect; but is that really the goal? alone the act of shutting off a bit and drawing, sketching, painting relieves stress and opens your mind ....*insertsheartandhugs*
i would love to see the docu you mentioned! i don´t own a tv though nor netflix sub.
because you mention war; i have seen drawings and artwork of holocaust survivors .....speaks volumes!
ljubim te na glavu!!!
First of all, I’d like to apologize for all the spelling/literary mistakes. My phone’s autocorrect feature has suddenly assumed sentient status with a mind of its own...much to my dismay! :/
With that out of the way, you are of course accurate in your observation, luče, in that painting, for me at least, is all engulfing and selfish in that kind it demands my undivided attention which is two edged sword, I hate to say.
I always feel guilty committing that time to painting thinking there are other “more productive” things I could be tinkering with instead. However, once the painting is finished, all that guilt dissipates just as quickly.
Another bonus I have found is that it challenges my patience, or should I say, rather mindful implementation of it. Naturally, I either have bounds of it or none at all depending on the situation, but this is something entirely new for me.
Thank you as always on your encouragement! It never goes unnoticed! Ljubi seka! 💞
Oh and the title of the documentary is “Stealing History”. I looked to see if it perchance might be available on YouTube though no such luck. Just now I’m looking for Joanna Lumley’s Silk Road Adventure I started watching while visiting mom, and I can’t find zilch...zero...nada... ugh.
In closing, I need to learn how to condense my thoughts!
no you don´t ....let those thoughts float about as much as they like lol
i know a few pisces privately ...ALL of them - with one exception - have some kind of fancy for the arts. be that a more hands on approach or simply appreciation ...
while reading your post - i was reminded of the quote "the journey is the destination" .........
thank you for sharing that

Posted by HearttofTopazzPosted by ArgusWow that sounds painful! I think I’m gonna schedule an appt asap. We’re going out of town next week, and I haven’t done anything to prepare for it lol. My Dr. just wants to prescribe muscle relaxers.. no thanks! LolPosted by HearttofTopazzPosted by ArgusNever have! I’ve heard good things though. Is it instant relief or does it take a few sessions?Posted by HearttofTopazz
The left side of my back is in so much pain, I don’t even want to move. I don’t know how I’m going to get anything done today. 😓
Have you tried cupping!? Best thing since sliced bread!
I had it done when I had my two cervical discs herniated and that was about the only thing that could elevate the pain (how ever temporary) until I had my surgery and the relief was immediate, so I’d imagine if it’s muscle related pain, it should be even more so effective.
Speaking of which I should go back just because! To me it’s better than any massage I ever had.
Drink plenty of water afterwards!
