True or not, more concerning issue is that it takes more than just one wo/man to achieve this degree of conflict & disorder. Without the overwhelming support he has enjoyed thus far, he wouldn't have been able to fart without facing severe consequences and THAT says more about a rather significant segment of US population that it does Russia.
