All new gear is far too overpriced. Particularly apple.

I picked up a 2nd hand 2013 Dell i5 2520m based system with 4GB & Intel HD gfx for $ 100. The battery was completely useless and was replaced $ 35 on ebay. Works perfectly and lasts all day and then some.

If u go 2nd hand make sure you can source a new replacement battery before buying.

Nah, I'm not too keen on going second hand, I like new things, lol. I'm the same with a car, it must be a new car. The only second hand items I'm willing to buy is second hand games for my PSP and PC, although I won't buy second hand games for my Switch - those must be new.

Get a macbook. They never crash or get viruses.

A Macbook goes beyond my budget, and if I did get one, I would locked in the Apple ecosystem. There's more freedom with Windows.

So worth it though. Windows gets viruses and crash so you spend more money on repairs. I refuse to get an iphone but after paying 3k fir a toshiba that butter itself just out of warranty, i am never going back. My mac has never crashed

I've had my Windows gaming desktop since 2013 and it has never crashed.

I think you are more prone to get a virus on a Windows PC, but then you need to make sure you have a good Internet Security suite, I like Bitdefender. And of course make sure you're not clicking on any suspicious links or going on naughty sites.

I've read on a few sites that Dell and Lenovo are rated higher than HP when it comes to laptops, but they also show that HP is rated higher than Acer.

How do you feel about HP?

Eh, they are not bad if you just want a cheap laptop for basic usage. Otherwise, I'd go for something else.

IMO

I like your Nintendo profile pic. I'm also a Nintendo fan, although I like Sega as well.

Just got an HP at work so I’ll let you know how it goes. They use good components so no reason they should be bad. I don’t know what the build quality or reliability is like though.

What do you want to do with the laptop? Web browsing, MS Office, e-mail or is there anything specialist like CAD software or big spreadsheets: databases?

Travel and work purposes, something like an i3 or i5 with 4gb ram, Intel HD graphics card and 1tb hard drive. I have an i7 gaming PC at home so looking for something just for day to day tasks.

I went to a computer store today, just to browse. Out of their laptops they had a few Dells, Asus', Acers, and HP's that were switched on for display. The HP's screen looked the best. I'm just worried about how reliable HP laptops are.
No I can't tell what type of fish it is, hehe. I also enjoy eating fish.
See, us Pisces are good for people
That's not too cold :p

Asus has been the most reliable for me. HP have problems with overheating and eventually the fan needed replacement (in my case). I am talking about gaming laptops.

Not needing a gaming laptop as I have a gaming desktop. Really just something for work and for travel. Something like an i3 or i5 with a minimum of 4gb ram and Intel HD graphics card.

I've brought this topic up before and so I got myself an Acer. I won't go the Acer route again.

I wouldn't touch HP even if my life depended on it.

Asus?

I like both boobs and butts, preferably a small, tight and firm butt with firm boobs. I joke with my wife that I'll send her to have a boob job to make her boobs firmer - at 37 years old her boobs aren't as firm as they used to be. Her butt and legs are pretty firm though.

I've heard Pisces and Libra can go well together
