More like a black comedy.click to expand

wtaf happened in here?
come on now, worse things have happened in life.
probably all sorts of matters accumulated over the years between these two ....and now there is a shift.
even friendships can be toxic, not only soulmate connections lol.
jfc.
Then ESPECIALLY if worse things have happened over the years, something mundane as a gift should be a non issue. Emphasis here is definitely about the gift and not the depth of the friendship.
maybe it was not clear enough; there are worse things to happen in life than a friendship breaking.
i think the issue with the gift is a catalyst for many underlying dynamics.
if it´s toxic - friendship or not - it´s better to part ways and take some time to re-evaluate what one seeks in a friendship.click to expand

The Batman (2022)
A mediocre (and completely unnecessary) film. It's definitely not a patch on the first two Nolan Batman films.
The cast and acting were respectable, with the exception of Zoë "I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth and am the poster child for blatant nepotism" Kravitz who fails to convince.
Three hours with very little payback.
Saw this one also today. Zoë was definitely miscast and it was a very slow build-up, but I thought it was pretty okay. Loved the music and Paul Dano was the perfect psychopath.
Story was a bit meh, needed a bit of a touch up but no disaster.
I've been avoiding films starring Zoë for quite some time. Batman only confirms that I should continue avoiding her films in future.
She doesn't do well in blockbuster stuff.
I liked her in The Road Within. Have you seen it?
Nope and I'm not going to watch it.
She's a successful actress because she fancied being one, and came from the right family with wealth and connections. While she can act adequately, she doesn't have the chops to be a convincing actress. I find her acting and film choices very contrived.
This indie movie is really funny, Zoë plays an anorexic. She does better with smaller roles.
Well, if you look it that way, then we you have to write off half of the film industry because of wealth and connections 🤣
There's far more to the film industry than Hollywood, especially if you look at the rest of the world, so that comment doesn't wash.
Besides, you can come from wealth and have connections AND have great acting chops. Zoë doesn't - IMHO, she's nothing but a tryhard poseur.click to expand
