Okay I read this book 2 years ago, but I didn't find it very well written. For one, she doesn't have proper backing, but all are just case studies which seems like her own opinions. Granted, sociopaths are not easy to spot. Most are too cunning to blend/ meld with the social networks and go undetected.
Personally, I have met 2 I consider sociopaths, but they are harmless, aka, unlikely to murder. They are just socio-sharks out to kill to climb up the ladder. Basically, most people are socis, but the true dysfunctions come from very low self esteem coupled with incessant negativity. Very likely, they had childhood issues and are compensatingfor the lack of love they desired as a youngin.

I think the idea with her case studies, was to show the differing types of sociopathic behaviours out there and yes I agree that they are unlikely to murder, but should the situation arise for whatever reason, they also wouldn't hesitate or feel anything from doing so, they would feel that what they did was within reason. A sociopath justifies everything they do and all their actions because they can do no wrong, in their eyes. It's always someone else that has caused the situation! Ever had an argument with one????

i also don't believe they have low self esteem at all, in fact to have the confidence and charm to pull the wool over numerous amounts of peoples eyes as loveable, kind, caring, considerate, intelligent human beings, would be a big ask for someone with low self esteem.

I have just started reading the Mary Jo Buttafuoco book, Jo is clearly a Sociopath, and he had the backing of all his friends and family that knew him so well, the only people against him were the people that didn't personally know him. The people that knew him believed all his lies and backed him totally!

Thanks for the tips on the trains, all useful and Im diarying everything. I'm a nutter for having well laid out plans. Eurorail is all I know about through the books but now I will google and look into these other tips.

You and your Cappy are going to have an incredible time, I bet you are looking forward to that You're so lucky to be living there where you can visit so many countries and experience all the different cultures.

Greece has always been my desired place to visit and party and eat and I will be in the city of love, Paris, for my birthday. Excited hardly, I'm Ecstatic!!

@eee. For London I have to have bangers and mash and a pint of ale Then off to Buckingham Palace and maybe Westminster Abbey just to see the opulence first hand. Anything I shouldn't miss while there? Are you close enough to shout me a beer? lol

Thailand is a more pampered holiday where you lay around in the sun and are waited on hand and foot. Im sure there will be more than just massages everyday and riding elephants and having your dead skin from your feet eaten by fish lol. We are staying in Patong which is one of the best party towns in Phuket at a resort that has a private beach. The main Patong beach is fairly crowded with tourists so I think we have chosen well for a little extra moola Then onto Bangkok to shop! haha As if I don't get enough of that here in the GC.

I don't think Virgo's and Libra have any sparks together though.

Never felt any towards any of them but only had 2 try. The relationships were more brotherly or friendship based.

Someone like you means to me

a sadness and the reality of losing a true love, someone you will always love but don't feel any nastiness towards and the hope that one day you will find someone like them again and it will work for you.

Sometimes no matter how much we want it it doesn't work with two people but that doesn't necessarily mean hatred between you...

I only know 1 Virgo male out of 5 that sucks!

My nephew but he's young and still a good kid
An awesome friend who understands and helps me all the time
My brother whom is very caring and genuine but a bit of a know it all
and Shaka, all good so far

My conclusion, Virgo's don't suck.

would it be safe to assume that traveling by train 100km would roughly be an hours travel? Most countries are around 500 -900km apart.

Are you and your lady holidaying or is this a business venture?

He's wanting people to tell him about his relatinship with his new woman?

Firstly, he is still sorting through whether she is right for him or not...in his mind she has to fit with our family. He and I get on and are great friends, although that isn't the most important thing. He has to know that she is willing to except his (our) children too.

But also, with their religion they have started off on the wrong foot...so therefore they have many opinions from his friends. I simply ( in my mind) pointed out if he wasn't sitting on the fence would have avoided most of this...except our daughters. They would always find it hard him replacing their mother.

This is where I feel his grey are has caused more harm than good all round!

This religion is real family orientated and yes most will have their opinions and even though they might not want to hear it, they will!

Me I am so totally Black or White with all my decisions once I come to reach them. Grey is never an area for me, I don't like fence sitters!

It came about after a dinner with my ex-husband who is in another situation and is still sitting on the fence as he has always done and we talked about why he is where he is!

It could be that he wouldn't necessarily be sitting on the fence, if you weren't so rigid.

I'm not saying I think it's a bad thing to not have grey areas, I'm saying maybe he thinks so.

For example .. my husband is very quick to make a decision, and often times after I've forced him into talking about it, he realizes he was hasty, and could indeed see grey. And often times, I wanted to come to his original conclusion that he jumped on without thought, but, sat on the fence BECAUSE his haste caused him to not see the whole picture.

So, what I mean is .... maybe your ex would want to consider your decision as conclusive, but, feels that you made the decision without taking all the variables into consideration ... so he's sitting on the fence, waiting for you.

Oh hun, NO! I can see what you are saying and yes I agree that he is sitting on the fence because he is unsure but he is doing it publicly so everyone has an opinion!

He is in fact courting someone else, possibly to marry. (they are very religious) We are great friends but I have just helped him tonight by giving an outsiders opinion on what is going on.

That's me too! No one hears my greys....not really because I only speak/act on my black and whites.

I've found life can be such a mess with fence sitters. My ex is in turmoil because he hasn't the conviction to get off the fence and make a stand! Instead he publicly sits on the fence where people force their opinions upon them!

Make a stand, and stick to it and don't settle for anything less. If he isn't prepared to give, then move on.

It may be hard at first, and you might have to cut some things/friends out that you dont want to do without, but it is necessary in order for you to be able to gain back control of our life and what you want for it!
