Only time will tell on the damages now! One of my friends is sitting in a hotel with all her family, mother, father and brothers family. Not sure how far away from their homes but it does make you think, how far is far enough? I also heard there are heaps of people shacked up in an underground carpark, poor ventilation and extremely hot. I was in Cairns last year at this time and it would be suffocating to say the least with there humid hot weather!!

I'm in the ever sunny Gold Coast and so far so good, but I am anxious for our fellow Quenslanders as they prepare for a slaughtering tonight

we in Queensland are taking a hammering in floods, cyclones and atrocious weather conditions, it's everywhere though but because it is so very close to home it really makes you think how lucky some of us are having missed by a hair this time round.

Thoughts and prays for my friends up in Cairns & Townsville tonight as they are struck by a category 5 cyclone, thank goodness for the warnings so people could get to safety in preparation but moreso for the damage that is left behind give them the strength to carry on.
