Just that I've not seen any evidence of it, even my 57 yr old step dad is a big kid! And my brother the other week while in a party at his house, we had the footy on in the garage with his music (heavy metal) blarring in the background but that wasnt enough for him he had to turn it on almost full and you couldn't hear yourself think. When I asked him to turn it down some so we could concentrate on the game he said no this is how you're spose to listen to his music...he was the only one interested at the time!!! And he's 41!

Hope you are all having a good weekend, I know ours is earlier than yours...I just spent 5 hours in 30 degree sun watching a touch football tournament. Bit burnt but had a good time, should've got more shade though!

@ DA I would think that makes you a considerate LOVER...I also dont think there really is a time limit on it for the LOVER but maybe for the LOVED..if said too soon.

I tend to overthink at times, but I never analyse my emotions - it wouldn't work anyway... I would not be able to act like this... either you touch my heart from the start or not. If you do, I fall for you. Why do I have to follow a theory at all? I just drift through life more or less... each situation is unique.... each person is unique.... one never knows what happens next. Isn't that beautiful? Every day is a new one, every journey a new one as we improvise, connect and adapt to an exciting person, place or experience in our lives.

And once you fall for someone do you then hold back like the LOVED or are you the LOVER? LT's theory as you put it is just pointing out how people react when in this situation. It's not going to happen with every person you meet/date but only the ones that you do connect with.

Bling the other thing I did after the 3rd time was eventually go to a hypnotist. I went for other reasons too but asked to add in something about smoking and I remember quite clearly him saying how I'd be disgusted with the thought of smoking again...Sometimes when I drink for some unknown reason around my friends I'll say give me a puff (drunk I guess) and I only ever take one and then give it straight back!!! What ever it takes you will I can guarantee you know it's all worth while in the end for numerous reasons!!!

See that's the thing, if he's stated that he is not interested in dating you but then leading you on and flirting with you I think that is so wrong. Constant contact with someone on a personal level is addictive, you start checking your phone and email accounts constantly and it really is wrong for him to say one thing and then do another. I would suggest you not flirt back and when he does you draw the line and tell him not to cross it so that you dont misunderstand your friendship. I think this will make him sit up and realise how unfair he is being and then you will be able to continue with your friendship...I hope you are up for only being a friend though...it can get kind of crazy as I'm sure you already know!

I find it odd that he is emailing and texting and chatting to you constantly but as he has stated that he doesnt want to date you and you have to take that at face value. Most men are certainly upfront when it comes to something they dont want to do.

What do you talk about? I'm thinking he's found a really good friend in you but I hope he isnt crossing those lines with the conversation, like leading you on. So why do you feel you are starting to develope feelings for him? Are you misinterpeting his conversation?

Yes I like it too very much, I think that alot of us would like to feel that sort of warmth.

I am the loved, too fearful to take the leap in case of rejection & wanting to be sheilded from pain. But I want to be the lover I just dont know if I have it in me to give that 100% when someone does come around...have I been to damaged by the past..perhaps so..is this why no one seems to work out for me...yes I think it is...

Next time round, I will endeavour to let my guard down and put things from the past out of my mind and let myself feel whats real and try to become the Lover...at the risk of potential heartache because inevitably that risk is there whether you are the LOVER or the LOVED!
