My college mate had Aquarius Sun/Mercury/Venus/Mars and she was literally a walking encyclopedia. She knew and could do ANYTHING, at that being creative and always finding time to help others.
being encyclopedia smart isn't anything really, just memorizing stuff. what is genius is creating and seeing things that are beyond what others see, the way Einstein did. or Tesla.

Agree and I know a lot of intelligent Geminis. I know a smart Leo and he's dominant Capricorn.
Gemini is intelligent but I don't know any top ten billionaires that are Gemini sun, maybe top twenty.
also the problem with air sun folks, is that if they isn't enough grounding or other elements other than air dominant, then they're just gonna stay airy fairy.

This has nothing to do with zodiac signs, but I've noticed that people who have Saturn Aspect Mercury, especially the conjunction or negative aspect, tend to be more intelligent.
I think Aquarians, Capricorns, and Virgo's are the smartest.
Let me just say for team Aquarius, we appreciate that you put us first. I know you'll say each of those can be first and you put them at random, but truly, sometime the subconscious knows best. 🙂

but both are intelligent in their own way. I don't think being grounded should be tied with being intelligent-smart because you're not smart enough if you were too real and grounded. you gotta think out of the box and have great imagination.

Einstein isn't an Aqua. He's a Pisces.
the only aqua about Einstein is that he's 11th house dominant.

my ex's had leo, and my husband is leo dominant. he is really a genius.
lots of leo energy are geniuses.
but my hubs is also virgo dominant. sooooo....maybe that's it? or that the combination, helps.

Funny you say that. Tesla's dad had his life planned for him after college...he had a a wife and potential jobs lined up for him. The thought of it literally made Tesla sick, literally!
When his father died, he said little about how he felt about his father's death and life. He went on to pursue his studies and saw relationship as a distraction. Most great men do!

Dunno about Jobs, but Einstein had a schedule with the wife, as to when they will do their marital activities, although at some point they stopped even that. Tesla, hehe, according to his own words, didn't even masturbate, said he doesn't want to use "life" energy i think he called it.

I guess the Mercury sign ultimately determines it. I read on an article or website that Sagittarius, Pisces, Aquarius, and Virgo Mercury were the most intelligent in a study. I'm not sure if gemini was one of them honestly, probably was mentioned though becuase they mentioned sagittarius, which is opposite of gemini. Too bad I didn't bookmark or save the website, but it makes a ton of sense.
@diablo, knowledge from books is awesome too and memorizing.
because, for example, my cappy mother in law has virgo mars, aqua venus/aqua Jupiter, strong earth and aqua.
and she makes sure when we're out in the wild, i'm highly IMPRESSED with her knowledge of birds and plants. also, she knows which plants are dangerous and which are good to eat, like berries, and which are poisonous and one time, I got allergic reaction, and she grabbed a plant right next to it, and said, "when there's a poison plant like this, there's a plant next to it that HEALS" so I rubbed it on, and was healed.
that's USEFUL and wonderful if you're out in the wild and will save your life.
and my mother in law and father in law are both geniuses.....so my hubs got a lot of it. lol
edit - so it's good to LEARN these things if you're into the wild and going out into the wilderness.

I realize the OP stuck the "just for fun" disclaimer in there, but some folks are losin' it in here, so it's time to be that guy for a moment.Sun sign has absolutely nothing to do with "intelligence." That's outside of its orbit. 😄
Additionally, Mercury-qua-astrological-planet is the planet of articulation and communication, not intellect.
Mercury's placement indicates the general style of communication, while the quality and depth (though I can't stand using that word in an astrological context) are indicated by Merc aspects (amount and kind, specific contacts, etc.)
