for the most part, waterproof mascara blows. the concept behind it is great although in reality, waterproof mascara creates more problems than solutions; crumbles off eyelashes throughout the day, stubborn removal and generally takes a bunch of lashes along once you try washing the stuff off. i'm thinking the black rings under your eyes are a result of the crumbly finish of waterproof mascara. this may seem counterintuitive, but regular mascara isn't prone to drying up and clumping like the former. invest in a standard mascara, which only sheds when saturated with water. |

I agree, I've only found one WP mascara that doesn't rip lashes out by the time I take it off. Maybe try a primer? for some people it doesn't make a difference, but I swear by mine. Also what brand are you using? I've noticed certain brand mascaras give me that affect, and I only wear brown mascara, unless I'm going out and doing a smokey eye or something. |

You can try Shelaq makeup sealer by benefits cosmetics. It worked for me but I don't like putting too much stuff on my lashes because when it's time to remove it all some of my lashes start to fall out. I sometimes put on false lashes and cut the length down to equal my length to give it a mascara'd look. I've seen people with nice looking lash extensions too but I don't know if you'd want to go that far and eventually over repeated use your eye lashes will fall out. |

| I don't always use mascara, but when I do I use Covergirl Lash Blast (in the orange tube). I think if you put some setting powder under your eyes, or a primer as electricXeel said, it might be less runny. |
