WHy does Duncan stink now?....Well have you an hour



GUESS WHAT !!! No one is posting because ...this site does not allow you to build a profile. The whole password/ username process is not working. THis WAS one of my favorite sites. Now I just rarely bother to look anymore. Come on Duncan put it back to normal. THis site used to be a 'watering hole' of thoughts. Now it just is too much work just to try to drop a couple comments.



Anyone else having trouble logging in? Anyone having trouble with the profile page? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I really don't believe that is the reason. IMO opinion the turn off is when people DO VOICE an opinion and you have people stating with their holier than though attitude that what you're saying isn't worth stating because THEY ARE THE CORRECT ONES! Can anyone blame the others for leaving? I can't. And if anyone took the time to notice those who did the most crucifying are the only ones on here who post? Hmmmmm.... How interesting?

True saggie, very true. I would be curious to know actual statistics though, as in, some sort of hit-count for this website and data to back up the claim that people have come and left. Mainly because personally I notice that most people have stayed once they really got into the site...I don't really mind if some people come by and post a couple times and never return again. That just shows me they for whatever reason aren't into posting enough to stick around, which is going to happen anyway regardless of how good or bad or complicated the site is. About the azzes who act holier than thou, I hear you, but if you think about it there's only a couple of those--and usually they get told that they're being azzes, so I actually think it's good that they stay around; maybe they'll learn something. lol. You know? And as far as Duncan previously being a "watering hole of thoughts"...well, my personal opinion is that a site which allows whoever whenever to anonymously drop their comments can quickly become more of a "cess pool of thoughts" than a watering hole. Not saying that's what duncan was before, just that everything including the posting community seems a lot more clean and organized since dxp's implementation of the log-in-before-you-post system.

Just my opinons (needless to say, I totally disagree with the person who wrote that letter). BTW, I *really* don't get what's so hard about logging in...in what way does that make it "too much work" to post? You only have to log in once and then you can post until the cows come home for goodness' sake...
