IP | So I know that Taureans like to be in control. I also know that they are stubborn. The question is, however, do they appreciate those qualities in others? Or does it become a battle of wills? For example: If one gets into a disagreement with a Bull, does the Bull appreciate when the other person sees his side? Or does he view this as being wishy-washy? Would he rather the other person battle it out with him (because he can appreciate the stubbornness)? |

IP In my experience bulls do like you to have an opinion... THEIRS!!!!! After a disagreement with my Taurus girlfriend I confided in a friend, and his advice to me was "finish with her now, otherwise, before you know it you'll be asking "how high?" every time she says jump, and then three months later she'll finish with you for not being a strong enough character." This is the paradox. I get the distinct impression that my bull wants someone independent and strong-willed, but also she never wants to back down in an argument and would sooner not speak to me at all than admit being in the wrong. So, if I'm the strong-willed person that she says she wants we'll be at loggerheads all of the time, but if I try to avoid conflict she'll never respect me because the only way to do so is to always be the one that backs down. |

IP Posted by bluelilac >>> awww that's just her style... cause we're sooooo stubborn and proud we will NEVER admit we are wrong. but trust me-- you showing that you have the balls to lock horns with her is one heck of a real turn-on My only concern with that is that we’re only here for 70, 80, 90 years, whatever, and then we die and that’s it, forever! So, I would rather spend as much of the time I have on this planet being happy, whereas my bull seems to be perfectly happy to squander weeks of “happy time” sulking about things, so I have to back-down eventually otherwise there simply wouldn’t be any fun. Maybe being in a sulk is enjoyable for her, but for me it just causes anxiety and makes me lose my appetite. My ex was a Leo and we used to have the occasional blazing row, but we’d quickly make up and soon be ripping each other’s clothes off. My bull just sulks for ages and then gradually lets me off the hook, but there’s no definite point of forgiveness and no passionate “making-up”. I’m not a “surrender monkey” but I do like happiness and harmony with a partner and find that, in order to maintain this, I have to let more of myself go than I’d like to. I guess, in answer to the original question, bulls do appreciate similar qualities to theirs in another person, and they certainly appreciate someone seeing their side of an argument, just don’t expect them ever to see your side, or even to acknowledge that it exists!!!!!

IP my experience with the taurean and control issues... it's not that bad! i honestly don't relate much to this problem. i have the most experience with taureans out of all the other signs out there. my past 2 best friends, my current one, the 2 guys i'm dating, etc... one of the taureans i am dating actually is very opposite. this is why i think his aqua moon has a strong hold on him. he's all about going with the flow and not trying to control everything. it is what it is. i think the other taurus i'm dating just wants to control the direction in which we're going but i won't allow it and he's too passive. i think he wants us to be exclusive but he knows better. so he is probably a little bit more of a control freak. he found his upper hand when it comes to communicating. he's been blowing me off a lot lately by not returning texts/calls and doing this passive-aggressive silent treatment technique. too bad it won't work on me but whatever. it was fun! |

IP | For me, tell me what you are thinking and feeling in a clear and concise way. Don't kitty foot around something, just bring it and we can discuss it. Sometimes we may come out on the same side; sometimes we may have to agree to disagree, but one thing is for certain, I prefer to be "in the know" versus sitting around scratching my head wondering what is going on and what that person is thinking. Also, I respect a person who expresses themself (even if I disagree) and are also willing to "see" your side and respect your opinion, even if they disagree. I'm that way, so I guess I expect the same from others. I abhor whining, and I don't want some pushover guy - TURNOFF! Don't agree with everything I say, because I will think you are just doing it to placate me and trying to get me to shut up (trust me, I know this tact, because I do it with some people just to get them to shut the hell up too!) |

IP By the way, I don't ever want to control someone, and I don't want someone trying to control me. I DO want someone who isn't afraid to speak their mind, and shuffle me in my place if I need it There is NOTHING more attractive and sexy (to me) is a man who is intellectually strong and able to hang with me in a debate or discussion. |

IP | that should have been "than a man" instead of "is a man". |

IP Me being an argumentative aries, it can become a battle of wills. He does say he appreciates my fiesty behavior and wouldn't want a women who was complacent but I sometimes wonder if that's really the case. My bull likes to teach...he's a story teller really. He could talk about one subject for hours. So, he appreciates any opportunity where he can "educate" someone. He is pretty much a know-it-all and we can butt heads sometimes because of this. I believe they can appreciate both you siding with them and also disagreeing with them. He's never gotten upset either way. It's usually me who ends up upset!!

IP Yeah, I could see that ramfish. I only sort of dated one Aries, and he was too much like my dad (who is an aries/taurus cusps). He annoyed the snot out of me, and there was no way it was going to evah' work. Plus, overall, I don't really get a long with Aries. One of my best friends dated an Aries girl, and he made me be friends with her . While I don't get a long with them, I can say that Aries (in general) are very big-hearted people (would give you their last dollar); tenacious and very bright. On the flip side, my personality doesn't deal well with their extremely competitive nature. I'm a laid back individual, and I feel that they are too high-strung for me. I do get bored easily, and I can say one thing, you can't get bored dating an Aries! |

My taurus is so laid back I have to check is plus every so often. We are pretty much complete opposites in the emotion rhelm. Nope, we are definitely not boring!

IP | I respect someone who tells me their opinion - but I expect them to back it up. Not simply have it be their opinion for the sake of having one at all. If you want me to see your side of then convince me you know what oyu're talking about. As far as being "weak" - I don't know what's intended by weak, because I like a "soft" man who tells me his problems and likes to be cuddly and make me happy - and I like to make him happy in return. I like harmony and taking care of each other - I only want to be in control when I can see things are getting out of hand and someone with their head on straight needs to take the reins. |

I'm exactly the same.also, with me it depends on who I'm dealing with as to how far it goes.if I'm dealing with a scorpio or someone arrogant or hateful,I will fight to the death and never back down.if I'm dealing with someone not on my level of strength I will tone it down accordingly because I do not like to hurt people, even when they deserve it. but I would much rather have the harmony angelfish speaks of. but yes,I'm very oppinionated....and they are always right |
