Vivid detailed dreams

As of late I've been having very very detailed dreams every time I sleep. I'm not usually the type to dream or at least remember what I dream but now I wake up thinking of what I dreamed for hours.
They are all random and alot of them doesn't make sense but it so strange how detailed they are.

The only one that made sense was a few months ago I dreamed my family was all at my grandmothers funeral.... well she died a few weeks ago and yeah... we were all there. Ok... so that one made sense.

But the rest... very strange, very random, but detailed to the point I can remember every conversation, what they were wearing, their facial expressions.

Usually when I dream it's kinda blurry and I don't remember but bits and pieces of it.
Am I just REALLY tired and my mind is working over time when I sleep or what?

Well it's not due to drugs but I've been tired lately. Now I'm having problems sleeping because I'm anticipating these dreams. It's just strange. I rarely dream like this.
I'll check it out DAF. Thanks!

This really struck a chord with me as I too have been having some very odd dreams lately - very detailed, and although they are not nightmarish in any way, I sometimes wake feeling a bit disturbed and am left wondering for ages what they signify and what they may possibly relate to in my life.
Oftentimes, I draw a complete blank as they are so way out there, they seem to have no relevance. I sometimes hope that I don't actually remember them when I wake up as they leave me feeling quite confused.

They are sometimes so vivid I can recall what I was actually thinking during the dream - my sense of anticipation of what was going to happen - a restlessness I rarely feel in my waking life.

I went through a phase of this about 5 months ago, and there was nothing serious happening in my life that I could pinpoint them to.....actually, when I think about it, they do come and go in phases....But, I do have good dreams too, and again, they are also very vivid and detailed

- I am sorry to hear of your Grandmothers' passing. x

A Fellow Scorp You discribed the feeling better then I did but I feel the same when I wake up. Weirded out and bothered. I'm still having them too.
I wonder if it is stress like Tateman says (my job is getting to me). I'm so busy right now too. Ugh.
Thanks for the condolences.

I know you've just got married too - what with that and work, I would imagine that things have been very stressful for you lately! When I think I can just get away from thinking through sleeping, and hopefully feel all the more clearer in mind from the rest, I feel even more confused by dreams - there's no reprieve! Mind you, they have eased up somewhat within the past week or so (thankfully). I do hope yours have too.

Well they are still pretty vivid but I gotta say it's interesting to go to sleep and wonder what the hell is gonna pop up this time. Now that I'm use to it I've grown curious about it. LOL

Things are slowing down a little but it won't get really slow/back to normal until next summer it looks like
