How does a Taurus woman like to be talked to?

What's the best way to talk to a Taurus woman? Do they like lots of compliments?

I love to compliment a woman, tell her she's gorgeous, irresistible, good enough to eat, etc.

The reason I ask is because I'm seeing my Taurus friend tomorrow... the one I was in a relationship for four months. Things got very difficult between us but we've been e-mailing a lot and established the cause of the problems that caused things to go wrong. When we first met I was very confident and took control, and she liked this and responded very well, but when I realized that I was falling for her I withdrew and changed my behavior for fear of upsetting her and losing her. She identified this change of behavior as the point where she didn't know where she was with me anymore and she then withdrew because my behavior had become vague and unreliable. If I'd just carried on being myself we'd have been fine. Anyway, I'm going to meet her tomorrow and I'm just going to go back to being myself, being confident and chickeny like I was at the beginning. I always loved to tell her she was gorgeous, irresistible, etc. and was wondering if this is something that Taurus women actually love. She is very quiet and doesn't let on much, but she never complained about me being quite verbal.

She has said she likes a man who takes the lead and takes control, so I will, which means lavishing her with praise, but at the same time I'd be interested to know if this is what Taurus women actually like.

yep virgo, taurus women do love compliments. virgo and taurus is compatible, however virgo must learn to ease out on the criticism-that would really make us wana run a mile from you lol.
other than that just be yourself cos we do like most of the things about a virgo cos they are quite similar to us. we may come across as strong powerful characters, and for someone who doesn't truly know us will assume we like to wear the pants in the relationship, but deep down we really want a man to take control and lead. both virgo and taurus just lurrrrv food-mmmmmmm enjoy that with her

Also, if your compliments aren't genuine, then they will fall on deaf ears because a lot of us have a B.S. 'meter that can smell B.S. a mile away. I don't like people giving me insincere compliments, and while I am a woman and like to be complimented on physical appearance, etc, we also love to be complimented on our mind and the accomplishments that we've made.

yeah I 4got to stress that point-don't over do it, only if they genuine cos like USC said we can smell a Bs-er from a mile. I agree don't just compliment her only on looks, she'l think you lust too much and will feel like your feelings are not genuine and based on only her looks-which we all know will fade with age (however taurus women are like fine wine-they mature well:p). pay attention to her qualities, and be sure to let her know that you like that about her etc. And it's those little things you do for us that matter!

Anything I say will be 100% genuine. I only say what I am inspired to say, so comments that aren't genuine will never be born in my mind in order to come out of my mouth. She has some very magical qualities which are really nothing to do with looks (though she is gorgeous), but more to do with the aura of irresistible sensuality that I can feel when I'm close to her. The messages that we have exchanged over the last four days have been very revealing and have cleared-up a lot of the problems that I discussed in my "Taurus Girlfriend" thread.
