Sideways in coming forward

So since my first meeting with the Cancer Male with whom I am interested in getting to know further our friendship has slowly developed, and I believe he likes me, is contemplating getting to know me better. The other night, at an event I hosted that turned pear shaped, he came to me afterwards and gave me a kiss on the cheek and to fix my equipment that failed.

BUT, his communication style is very tardy. He often ignores me on email or text for days, yet in the physical world is very attentive. That's when I see him - once a month.

The signals confuse me, and though I'm in no rush, I can't help but think there's a fine line between self preservation and being down right rude.

On Tuesday, it seems I will be working with him on a little project which was intisgated by him, on finalising the location arrangments *poof* he again leaves me hanging.

I really don't know if I can handle someone who is so thoughtless.

Am I asking too much?
