Alpha/Sigma/Beta/Gamma & Omega Females.
Understanding Alpha, Sigma, Beta, Gamma, and Omega Females
These terms describe different social and personality types often used in personality and social dynamics. Alpha females are confident leaders, while Sigma females are independent and self-reliant. Beta females tend to be nurturing and cooperative, Gamma females are introspective, and Omega females are more reserved and outsider-like. These categories help explain behavior patterns in social settings.
Are women and men necessarily as different as Venus and Mars?
Not necessarily; according to popular classifications based on the Greek alphabet, we have more in common with our corresponding personality types in the opposite sex than we do with other categories within our own gender! However, men and women from the same categories often clash in relationships because they are too similar; for instance, two alphas may make a great match, but there's also a power-struggle going on—a war waiting to happen. Similarly, opposite personality types are often strongly attracted to each other??s differences, whose personalities may conflict once the honeymoon period is over for —irreconcilable differences?? (the most commonly cited reason for divorce among celebrities).
Realistically, most people fall under hybrids of two or more categories, which further divide into various other classifications (it's enough to fill an encyclopaedia but this is just a blog entry so we won't go there). Personality types can also change over the course of one's life: a man could start out as a high powered Alpha athlete, executive or politician and end up a depressed, unemployed Omega later in life. Type Alpha: Self assured, enterprising, outgoing.
Alpha Female
Alpha females abound in any Angelina Jolie movie (her kick-ass characters and her bad-ass self). A super confident female who doesn't appear to need men, Alpha women are the queen bees of their cliques, whether in social groups, school or college. They easily dominate other women and can be aggressive, bossy, and sarcastic in their competitive, high-powered careers, including political (Margaret Thatcher, Benazir Bhutto). They are usually sexy even when they aren't conventionally beautiful, and don't get intimidated around men. They may lack sensitivity and sympathy towards others and aren't scared of making the first move when it comes to their romantic interests. They normally get what they want: even other Alpha males rarely reject them. Alpha women are thought to have cold, controlling personalities that aren't very nurturing or relaxed.
Type Beta: Moderate, reserved, and collaborative
Beta Female
Beta women make great BFFs. They're usually the imperfect Bridget Jones type characters we root for in movies. Beta women tend to be passive aggressive and can get annoyingly obsessed with their crushes. They are nurturing, insecure about their looks, and want to be pursued by the guys they like. If this doesn't happen, they are nervous about competing with other women and often end up lonely or with their second or third choice in a mate.
Type Delta: Aloof, marginalised, resentful
Delta Male & Female
Deltas are withdrawn, private, and to some extent, disaffected. Deltas are often —has beens?? who were confident, successful, popular Alphas in their youth. The lowest rung in the hierarchy of personalities, Deltas tend to be subordinates who are ostracized by society.
Type Sigma: Sardonic, outsiders, baffling
Sigma Male & Female
Sigmas are outsiders to the social game, yet manage to win at it anyhow, confusing everyone else in the process. They are also adept at socially challenging and ridiculing Alphas, to their infuriation. Sigmas tend to be contemptuous towards the opposite sex, even if they desire them.

Hmmm.. Depends on the maturity and self-awareness level of the signs involved.
I've known some complete ball busting, alpha Aries and Leo's that turned into Gamma's and Sigma's once matured.
beta sounds good to me, but i'm not insecure that much about my looks even IF i'm fat as a whale....
and i never had a problem with men chasing me (the ones I wanted) unfortunately, i will also get chased down by men i don't want chasing me too, it's disgusting. So you get all types. But fortunately, many of them get the picture and get a clue, so they're not always dumb as bricks.
upon saying that, thank god i'm married. I'd HATE to be single ...my god, i can't imagine how it is with you all single ladies looking around for that "special" mate. You are always fending off the ones you don't want, and the ones that you want don't want you kind of thing....It's AWFUL!!

The first two paragraphs is exactly why I didn't chose beta.
Also I have no problem going after the men I want, and have never settled for second or third choices. I always enjoyed being single, that allowed me to have more choice than those girls that settle because they don't want to be single.

i'd rather BE SINGLE than be with 2nd or 3rd choice. Truly. I don't care. Better to be with family members/loved ones, than to be with someone you're disgusted with. Because anything less than no.1 is disgusting. And i dont like the gamma either.

I agree. I also know a Leo girl who turned into gamma, she was a short-term alpha, though. Half mongolian, half brazilian she was a stunner. Good with sports, good dancer, popular, etc. I found her on fb a year before, now she's a stay-at-home mom. I'm like wtf? she's not even 25, though too short for a fashion/runway model she could have been a successful photo model. Yeah, people change.

Where the beta princess is married to her alpha man -- leader, and her leadership man is a KING or prince and she's just a commoner who has caught the eye of the prince. that's my favourite. Kind of like Cinderella. But she's not really a true commoner, but has some status symbol blood in her, as (gentry) but later married someone of higher status.
Looks like all the women here want to be less than Alpha. They don't want to be the "career" woman anymore. 😛 They all want to settle down and have families and find alpha type men. heehee.

In my honest opinion...NO they don't. People never really change. If they change it's through something traumatic, like car accident and getting into a wheelchair, then their attitude changes....just like the description of an alpha who turned gamma or something, where he was once a leader but can't lead anymore --- something like a terrible accident can change your life. Or a terrible overdose, anything that can ALTER your reality and your living.

maybe. you can't change a person's personality. if she was always competitive and into sports, you know she's alpha deep down.
I was NEVER alpha. Hung out with losers in high school, and liked to "hide" alot from people so i don't get chosen for try outs or chosen for anything. Sat at the back of the class. Even with my ex's, they all lead, and i'm not a leader at all. BUT!! I do have a strong personality. I notice that about myself, but everything else is beta 100%

i loved hanging out with "misfits" back then. They're more interesting than pretentious people. the ones no one cares about and the ones people had forgotten. I dont know why...i loved them the most.

I think that I started life being an alpha because up until the first four grades of primary school I had a really big ego and I had the need to be the leader. I was lacking though leadership skills... So, for the rest of my school years up until the age of 18 I was no longer an alpha. I was more of an outcast. And also because of my power struggle with my mother, which is an aggressive alpha my confidence had gone really low.
Now I observe that after the age of 30, I care less if I am the prettiest and that helped my confidence get really high. If I don't compete then I can't feel insecure about it. Right?
Also men are no longer my main focus in life. It is my career and I am more competitive in getting the job that I want. So I guess I am somewhere between being a beta and an alpha. I am not that aggressive and can be more diplomatic.

I have a need to be alone, more than most people do. Some cool/popular kids would come to me, but I knew that if I become their friend, then I'll appear like one of their poor followers, since I'm not as outgoing/ social /popular as them. So I became friends with another kind of not so popular but pretty successful student and there was no leading or following in our friendship.

yes, realistically most people are hybrids of 2 types, or mixture of 3 types etc. Everybody to certain extent, cares about what other people think about them.

The bolded part is really how I feel. Too many squares in my chart though, which I believe is what causes all the drooling & gagging effect. Oh well. That Sigma description, as little as it is, is most relatable to me.

I've never liked or been attracted to beta males. that's all there is to it. Alpha men all the way. But a sweet loving one. those are hard to find i notice. But i have found two. My husband and my ex, the last one. But my last ex was a commitment phobe, so.....i wanted marriage and family and he was more into just living together forever. It's similar to that "Californication" tv series, where the woman has been loving and living with her alpha man but he's so commitment phobic, and loses the love of his life...anyway.

I have so many squares in my chart as well, and I feel the same, too.
I, personally think that the beta one would suit me the most. I consider myself as a mix of all the category ladies...and I think the beta male would be better able to handle me and my changing moods. He is more adaptable than omega and delta and handle failures pretty well, is emotionally more mature than alpha male and is in touch with his feminine side which would allow him to have truthful communication with ladies....so I would cheer for a BETA😉
all I know is the Lord is Alpha and Omega so everything else is petty.
Labels rarely stick. People are mostly too complex.
