I'm hoping prometheus isn't a disappointment, the later trailers and info online looked to me like it would be a worthwhile movie. Of the others, the last installment of the batmans doesn't look like it'll be cheesy, the rest of the major movies I'm not too fussy over, except the one with the talking teddy bear in it.

I'm Trying to ignore the reviews so it doesn't taint the watching, although I read the Ridley Scott didn't intend it to follow the alien by the book, the trailers and screenshots I've seen don't look that 'shiny', for lack of a better term, so I hope it doesn't totally suck hah.

Is the descent the one where those kids end up in a hole in the woods?
Yeh, I've noticed more and more trailers have key/end parts in them, really dumb idea tbh.
'Exam' is another interesting one on my watch list, a few years old now but I think it's a Uk effort iirc.

*spoilers*

'Exam' is alright, the dialogue is interesting in places, pretty cheesy at others though, and the characters seemed a bit cobbled together. The brunette's assurances raised a smile but the fire alarm bit is a glaring error if you think about it too as all the papers are marred (although the rules are 'They's to choose too, I suppose)
In it's defence there's only so much you can do with a room and 80 minutes, but you can guess most parts.
The bit where 'black' and the narky 'psychologist' type assume control is pretty funny though, and 'brown' totally owns her at one point and she starts squealing when he tweaks haha, but there's a strange twist at that point.
I thought the last 20 minutes would be bad but it's probably the best part of the movie, with a couple of nice twists.
The blonde barely talks and the ending was a fix lol
It's a bit like cypher or any of the cube movies relegated to a single room.

It's not shocking, I was just surprised at some of the dialogue or easily guessed parts, although the little twists and turns towards the end did lift the film up.
I think a parallel story works better as it doesn't give alien diehards much to complain about and keeps things fresher, though I might wait until prometheus is out on dvd.
Buried is a good movie that again is set in one place and somewhat psychological, that's worth checking out imo.
The dead zone is another worthy watch, not so much psychological but it's got Christopher Walken as the lead so it gets my vote.

Cronos is a good film also with a nice take on the quest for everlasting youth.

Yeh, I agree on Ron Perlman, he was really good in Drive and In the name of the rose (I think that's what it's called, oldish Sean Connery movie).
He's pretty funny in Cronos too.
3:10 to Yuma was awesome, not a major fan of Russell Crowe but he can actually act in that movie!
I love Fringe but that's only got one season to go now and I think that's about the right amount to tie a tv series up.
Stieg Larrson did dragon tattoo right?
That's still on my to watch list.
