| it's badass. reminds me of 'drive' + 'no country for old men' but heavier and much more tortuous, crazy, and gory. really too much at times! i was either covering my eyes or they were wide open through most of it, lol. beautiful cinematography and acting too. funny but really stirring at the same time. and dude is always wearing that slick ass jacket. |

| *some spoilers* I've just finished watching 'I saw the Devil', it's brutal ! Way darker than the two you mentioned exo. It's dark enough for the first hour when He's taking people down and it kinda looks like it's coming towards the end when he first catches up with Gyeongchul, then for the next 1hr20 or so it just escalates from there The bit where he cuts through Gyeongchul's achilles tendon was harsh ! You're right about the nice jacket too, almost gets through the movie unscathed (I noticed how he switched to a black one after that though and becomes more and more unhinged with the hunting). Awesome film with some nice twists without going too overboard with it all (except the torture I guess). |

| 'shame'. i want to like it but aside from a couple scenes it irked me, felt kind of over-dramatic, showy, and shallow especially nearing the end. though interesting story/ideas on intimacy, and role for carey mulligan however unflattering. and fassbender and his penis are nothing exciting. |
